Fairly good breakfast, unusual but pleasant modern decor. Well located for station and main shops and restaurants. but quite a long walk to harbour side. Staff friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it. The hotel is very clean and the staff were great. We arrived quite early and they let us store our luggage until our room was ready. They had the room ready for us well before check in time which we really appreciated because we were tired from the trip. They had even delivered our luggage to the room by the time that we got there. The room was spacious and very clean. The only thing I missed was a kettle or coffee maker. It’s in a great location with lots of options for breakfast in the area if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. Overall an excellent stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.
We enjoyed staying at the Poet however no handrail on the way up to first floor and no elevator! For seniors -that can be dangerous. Good location though.
Great place to stay for an easy option to got to the 5 towns . If you are driving it take you in and out from the region with out any trouble . If you are with people that are ultra picky is a good place becouse is clean and adequate
Hotel was cute and comfortable. Bed was wonderful! Area around hotel was a little rough, but that’s usually the case for hotels near train stations. Very convenient location for daily train travel as it was a short walk to the train station. A quick walk down, there was a great shopping and dining area. I would definitely recommend for Cinque Terre travel and would stay here again.
it was quite basic; no lift to mezzanine floor; hairdryer tricky, light switches/ plug points tricky; standard room has no kettle/ coffee stand; says eco friendly but has plastic cups in bathroom wrapped in plastic, but loo paper clearly recycled...will most likely not stay there again
Very nice property in La Spezia…all updated with modern decor and amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The property let us check in early which was wonderful. The receptionist spent so much time flirting with someone that she hardly even spoke to us. We felt like an inconvenience. She begrudgingly poured us 2 glasses of flat Prosecco and when questioned lied to us about it having just been opened. The area was in the back streets and we did not feel safe walking after dark. Served its purpose for one night but would not recommend for a longer stay.
Great stay. My only gripe is that the parking lot isn't next to the property. It was about a 5 minute walk. Other than that, the place is solid. I would stay here again.
This place did not live up to the reviews and ratings. Much more of a three star hotel and therefore significantly overpriced. Really nothing special about it- pretty bare bones. Breakfast was good though.
My stay at The Poet Hotel was enjoyable. The room was clean and ready earlier than the check-in time. It is in walkable distance from the train station and amenities such as groceries. It's worth noting that dining options in the area are limited if you're looking for a place to eat outside of normal meal times (we were looking for a late lunch but most restaurants closed by 2:00 PM). This is no fault of the hotel, of course. My one critical feedback would be that the water kettle smelled strongly of vinegar, which I'm assuming they use to clean/disinfect between guests. We opted to not use it after opening it up and getting a whiff of the smell.
Toit a été très bien sauf lorsque la dame du petit déjeuner nous a interdit de monter à notre chambre abec un biscuit de leur buffet. Nous avions fait ça à chaque hotel (prendre ex un fruit ou biscuit pour la journée )
Great stay. Used hotel as base for exploring the Cinque Terre. May be the nicest/most modern hotel in La Spezia. Easily walkable to train station and tons of amazing restaurants nearby. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
Great Hotel for exploring Cinque Terre. Close to train and many local restaurants. Hotel has a unique modern vibe, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is bountiful including fruit, pastries, meats, smoked salmon and made to order eggs and coffees
Highly recommended
