"The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. "it was the worst experience I ever had booking with Hotels. It is not a place or management team that is worth of being on your platform. In the email of confirmation there was nothing said about the place not offering bed linen, towels or even TOILET PAPER..... indeed we arrived and had none of the above. The place does not allow to walk with ski boots but we didn't get access to the boots area to store our skies and boots... I was almost forgetting, broken shower indeed! Place was...

"We had a fantastic stay at La Folie Douce in Chamonix. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the town centre and with easy access to the slopes, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with great facilities and a lively atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They always went out of their way to assist with any questions or requests and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Now that we have stayed at this hotel in Chamonix we wouldnt go to another one and would highly recommend La Folie Douce to anyone visiting Chamonix."

"The communal areas of the property were well maintained and welcoming. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a good location. Breakfast was varied and wholesome. Provision of free 24 hour tea, coffee and water was a welcome facility. However, the first room we were allocated was on a corner, with only a glazed door which opened on to s communal deck with only a net curtain for privacy. When questioned the staff member said, for privacy we would have to close the external wooden shutters, which was a bit of a nuisance. The room was affected by extremely noisy wastewater plumbing from other rooms. Which woke us up early in the morning. We requested a room change and were given a room on the top floor which wad unbearably hot , very small with no proper shower. Overall, we felt we were fobbed off with the lower quality rooms in the hotel. This maybe a reflection of the price we paid nut even so I don’t think it unreasonable to expect a high degree of comfort."

"Room was spacious and cleaned daily which was nice. The pool area was lovely to come back to each day. Little things like no conditioner in the bathroom, no mini fridge or milk, despite having a coffee machine, would make a difference. The balcony was lovely to sit out on in the late afternoon."
