Outlets didn’t work, I couldn’t shower in the am because the lights and outlets didn’t work in the room. When I reported this to the front desk- no apology. He just shrugged and said it isn’t our issue.

Bugs!!!
The staff was very nice, but that is where it ended. Remote was dirty and there were seeds and dental floss on the bathroom floor. Woke up to find bugs in the bed. Office moved us to a different room and insisted they must have come in through an open window. Jeat did not work in the new room. Room was 61 degrees. There was another bug and an eyelash on the pillow! Bathroom towels had hair on them. Remote and bathroom fan did not work in the new room.

Our stay was adequate for our purposes. I felt the property tried to keep things clean and tidy, but were hamstrung by budget shortcomings. The breakfast was limited, but served our purposes. The price was very inexpensive.

Very convenient and adequate for my needs, but I would not recommend it to anyone unless they were looking for the absolute lowest priced clean accommodation. There were dogs in a no dog facility, loud guests early in the morning and a modest breakfast offering. The price was fantastic.

It was very nice stay. I am most happy with the hotel staff. Thank you so much. But. My problem again. Very high beds. It is so hard to get on the bed. We were staying in the hotels by Wyndham. They all have very high and uncomfortable beds. I am a senior and it is hard to climb to the bed. Can they fix it? The breakfast. Poor. Only hard boiled eggs. They had cream cheese, bagels and more but the egg upset my stomach. It will be be good to have some omelette and breakfast sausage instead. One more time thank you to the guy who helped us to check in. I don't know his name. Sorry. he was a great helper

Hotel & room were generally very clean; but the bathroom equipment was BAD - shower head fell off as soon as water was turned on; very weak water pressure in shower; hair blow dryer did not work at all! The cloth-cushion chair in the room was very water-stained (looked exactly like it had been peed on previously, though it did not have an odor; but neither of us would sit in it). The beds were comfortable! The parking lot was rather (very) dirty & grimey.

I was very disappointed in the room. Very small, carpet looked like the used carpet that used to be in Blue Chip casino when i worked there and instead of spending a little money for trim they continued the carpet up the was as trim. The carpet needs cleaned bad...because the odor in the room was awful....and to top it off the tv didnt work. I was told i would be discounted 25.00 for not having a tv but that hasnt happened yet.. VERY DISAPPOINTED

The room did not feel clean and I had gotten bit by bed bugs in the room. The floor was moist, which I can understand with humidity and summer but overall it felt gross in there. I don’t mean to put this hotel on blast like that but I was disappointed for how much I paid.

Reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous about my stay. Truthfully though I was pleasantly surprised. It is nothing fancy and could use some updates, but I felt it was decently clean and comfortable. The shower head is low so be ready to squat if you are over 5ft 6 and the building is not secure from the outside. For the price it is a decent place to rest your head.

This was a last minute, late night hotel stop. We did stay overnight as it seemed to have decent reviews. We were so wrong. If you like smokie rooms, bed sheets that have cigaret burns, Bad tv service, discussing bathrooms, and a questionable breakfast. This is your place. Not going to stay at this place ever again!

We checked in about 8pm and had an attendant who probably would liked to be somewhere else. The room assigned was stinky, we aired the room but still couldn't get rid of the smell. The attendant changed our rooms after I complained and that is the sole reason of the one star. They shouldn't advertise breakfast as it is a.farce. A.few.minicupcakes in individual ziplock bags, 2 slices of bread in a.ziplock.bag. They must have had one batch of food and that was it Cereal dispenser with no bowls. Not recommended.

Older but accommodating.
The building is older, small repairs could make it nicer ( like toilet seat not secured proper and airconditioning is old/noisy , but it proved adequate. Bed and bath were clean and pillows and bed linens were great, towels not so much. There was a fair amount of street noise but that lessened in the late night. The breakfast was the basic continental and they were green-minded 👍 All staff was friendly and helpful. The gentleman working the desk came up and helped us with the TV. For summertime only 12 minutes from Lake Michigan, I think it was a fair $ value. Some colorful characters were hanging around out front, made us a bit uneasy, don’t know what that was about, but it caused us no problems and not likely a steady issue. We were looking for a clean bed for a night while on the road. Michigan City and New Buffalo on Lake Michigan are both a short drive. It was A LOT less expensive to stay here, and LaPorte is a lake town as well.

I chose this property due to location and price. Never again will I pick based on price. I should have paid the extra money to stay in a clean, safe, well kept facility. All of the doors to the outside were unlocked so anyone could access the building and there were several entrances. Appeared the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway hadn’t been vacuumed in months. Our room had a coat of dust on everything, end table, headboard. The blankets had stains everywhere. The worst part was the urine around the base of the toilet that hadn’t been cleaned for who knows how long. Absolutely disgusting. Still makes me gag to think about it. Wish I could post pictures here because I have evidence of the unbelievably filthy toilet!! No way was this worth $25 let alone the $127 it cost. So upset I wasted money on this filth!!
