"Clean Room, shower offering shampoo, conditioner and soap (but bring your own towel). Good breakfast and very useful laundry service (15.000 pesos as of Spring 2026). The restaurant offers lunchboxes (viandas) for excursions. Helpful and available staff. Large lockers."
"We stay at hotels over 60 days a year and have done so for the last 30 years plus. In that time, we have probably checked out early of 3 hotels. This is one of them.
I totally feel for the staff who are fielding complaints. It is not there fault. The hotel feels unfinished, like they have run out of money. In fact there is no road yet to the hotel. The main issue is that the walls are paper thin. By this, I mean tbat you can hear conversations outside the room at the far end of the corridor. When you ontroduce squelling children and people having a party, expect to have no sleep. My wife is on chemo and rest is very important, we requested a quiet room but it was impossible to sleep. The noise is not just from the side rooms but above and below as there is zero sound insulation. It geeks like you are all sleeping in one big hall. The bathroom is poorly finished and dirty. The bath flexes when you stand on it.
We left after one night and had yo repurchase another hotel...it was that bad. The hotel refused a refund. Breakfast is dire."
"I had a wonderful stay at Montano Boutique Suites in El Calafate. The room was very comfortable, beautiful, and I always felt safe.
The breakfast was delicious with a large selection. I especially loved the coffee and the medialunas.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me with directions around town, recommended places to eat, and even helped arrange taxis.
The welcoming wine was a lovely touch and made the experience even more special.
I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and welcoming stay in El Calafate."
"I walked there from the bus station at night. Just followed my Google maps directions and got there just fine, but took 15 minutes. Staff was incredible, place was super cute and clean and even had a welcome drink. They arranged a glacier tour for me for the following morning, and that went great. The breakfast was a big spread with lots of buffet options and the views were great. Amazing place for the price. Highly recommended."
