The hotel is nicely located to hike in the Park Natural de Conzorla. The staff made the hotel stay great. As an example, when I checked in, I was given a room where the wireless internet didn't work. When I mentioned this at the front desk, I was told that distances to the router vary and I expected that I would just not get access on this trip. Instead, the reception desk person took me to other rooms with my computer until we found a room that had many bars, and then moved me into that room. This is not the kind of service I've seen very often in Europe and it was a pleasant surprise.
The only drawback is that the restaurant is very expensive. You are far better off going next door to Cafe Ana. There is a terrace out back where you can watch the sunset and enjoy the menu of the day. Go for the garlic soup if it's on the menu.
