Our stay at the ranch was wonderful. The room we had came with A/C which was very nice to come back to after long days in the sun. The staff (specifically Kevin, went above and beyond ensuring we had everything we needed.) They organized a lot of our activities we did while in La Fortuna. The bar and restaurant on property are a nice touch if we didn’t feel like going out that night or going anywhere for breakfast or lunch. I couldn’t recommend this place any more! Fantastic!

Nice cabins, with a pad that leads to a small river in the back. All very quiet, we went at the end of May just after their high season. If you like the peace and quiet. Take the night frog tour, they are very colorfull, early mornings there are Toucans flying arround.

Great stay and would’ve put 5 stars if my TV was working. TV in our room wasn’t working at all during our stay. Staff were friendly, especially Kevin. Location is close to many attractions.

Nice staff, beautiful rooms with veranda close to a forest (nice to walk and see animals). Housekeeping could be improved (we had to ask to fill up soap and toilet paper twice though our room was cleaned before). Breakfast is too expensive for the small portions that you get.

Great location about 5 minutes from downtown la fortuna. Within walking distance is a mini market and a few restaurants. Very close to the la fortuna waterfall, salto rope swing, chocolate tours and so many other things! Grounds were beautiful, very quiet, great happy hour at the bar and river walk. Highly recommend for couples and families.

This property is so quiet and peaceful! It’s perfect for relaxation. We were taken care of so well by the staff and they were very accommodating! Kevin did a great job checking us in and showing us around. There is a fantastic restaurant that we ended up eating at 4 times just down the road, Chante Verde. Recommend reservations. The property isn’t in town but close enough to be picked up by tours and easy to get to town. There is a great river close by where we saw howler monkeys and other monkeys in the trees. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel we enjoyed staying at the Rancho Cerro Azul. Your cabin is enclosed in a beautiful garden and you’ll be woken up by birds singing in the morning. Breakfast is good and abundant, restaurant not so much There is a nice trail down to the river and they arrange a night e walk in the property to see frogs and other nocturnal animals. It’s at walking distance from “El Salto” rope swing and at a couple of miles from the waterfall Very positive experience

We have just left Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul after four wonderful nights. It is a charming and tranquil setting for a small number of clean, comfortable lodges. The deck of our air-conditioned cabin was private and offered a wonderful view of wildlife. We spotted many birds during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit and unlimited coffee. The laundry service was great and our hosts Kevin and Isaac were so warm, welcoming and helpful. We were a family of five, travelling with teenagers and we could not have been happier with our choice. We also ate at the restaurant for other meals a couple of times and the cooking was fresh with good service.

Amazing views of the ocean and surrounded by flora and fauna. The road was an adventure we loved and we also enjoyed the on site pool. It was hot but we were expecting that. Convenient to shopping & dining in Quepos and close to Manuel Antonio as well. Wonderful stay, thank you!

Everything was great however new prepared to have lizards inside the room and don't get panicked. Accept the nature and let them live their corners and if you're fine with this then this place is good.

I loved the private cabins set in beautiful tropical surroundings. We enjoyed the short hike down to the river, which was very peaceful & relaxing. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and prepared fresh to order. All of the staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was the bathroom shower water wouldn't get hot. Apparently there was a trick I never figured out. Also, I was surprised that the property was so close to a busy road and at times traffic noise was loud. The little bar area was very nice but sits right next to the road. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I would definately come back to this location. The staff was great, it is clean and several tourist options for sight seeing and restaurants. If there were one thing I would recommend to change is the water temperature for the showers was very cold, so increase the water heaters. However, if you are coming during the hot summer months it may be refreshing.

A Hidden Gem of Comfort and Charm - Hotel Rancho C
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul, and it exceeded all my expectations. The service was not only professional but incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home from the moment I stepped in. The rooms were spotlessly clean, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. While the bedroom was cozy, a few more pillows would have enhanced the overall experience. The hotel's location is superb, conveniently situated to explore the area's attractions. The real highlight, however, was the enchanting garden. It felt like a magical oasis, providing a serene retreat amidst lush greenery. The bar, with its quaint charm, was a delightful spot to unwind, offering a diverse selection of drinks. Property grounds were so pretty, tropical and maintained properly. Staff were super friendly and courteous. Cabin or the room setup was basic and nice. Bathroom in the cabin was rundown. That’s the only thing we didn’t like. Breakfast was yummy. For the price I paid which is little over camping ground price in USA, i can’t complain. Overall, I recommend the cabin for a budget friendly option.

Tolle kleine Hütten mit Veranda in einer wunderschönen Anlage voller paradiesischer Pflanzen. Sichere und ruhige Umgebung die genügend Privatsphäre bietet. Die Unterkunft hat einen eigenen, privaten Trail in dem wir Frösche beobachten konnten. Das Personal ist super aufmerksam und freundlich. Der Jacuzzi im Garten war unser Highlight und ein toller Urlaubsabschluss.

Relaxing trip , great location and the area well maintained very clean. Enjoyed the hammock had time to relax and walking by the river through their trail stumbling across wildlife. Staff is friendly and organized trips were wonderful.

Very nice, lots of nature
This place is great There is nature all around. I very much enjoyed swinging in the hammock looking at nature. It is about a 30 minute walk to City center, but there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes. There is also a grocery store two minutes away There is an adventurous "river walk" on property that we enjoyed. The few cons were the breakfast wasn't the greatest for the price. Also the air conditioner weezed the last day... But we never notified them about it, so can't blame them for not fixing it. Lastly the "mountain view" is a little bit of a lie...there were tooany trees so see the volcano ( or mountain) if you walked to the bar you could see it.

Such a magical place. Staff was amazing. You are in your own secluded world here. Breakfast is awesome. We had five days in La fortuna and had two nights here and three at one of the hot springs. We only stayed one night at the hot springs and came right back for the remainder as it far exceeded the other five star resort
