This is a beautiful property and we would definitely stay here again! I will say that we had some issues with our room upon check in as the AC wasn’t working and we nearly got heat strokes because of it, but thy gave us a new room and AC worked fine!

This property is absolutely amazing! Out of the path yet 4 minutes drive from Fortuna (Uber is $3.50). We could have not asked for more. Bungalows are beautiful and clean, very large shower and a small balcony facing tropical lush gardens in the back with birds all around and a small patio with table and chairs in the front. The view of the volcano is spectacular and breakfast in the morning is a delight with views and monkeys sitting on branches. They have a small spa and the yoga class was very good too. If you are looking for a party place, go somewhere else. People at this hotel are having fun but they enjoy the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. We did everything on our own as most attractions are 10 to 15 minutes away: volcano trails, hot springs, Natura Park, Rio Danta for sloth watching (we saw a mom and baby there, for free:) We had such a great week and employees working there are very respectful and attentive. The hotel has a trail (a real trail in the forest) and we spent hours there, saw red pickers, yellow beek small toucan, other birds. We only did the Chocolate Tour with the hotel. Food was also excellent. If you are looking at saving money, you can eat in La Fortuna but if you want a nice service and great food, 1 restaurant and 2 bars on site have plenty of delicious plates. You can sip on great cocktails at the pool bar or order food there as well. Absolutely no regrets on our choice, this was our first time in Costa Rica and it was really Pura Vida!

I have stayed in a number of places in the area and this so far has been my favorite. I was pleasantly surprised by everything! Price, Staff, the hospitality, rooms were quaint and very clean and I loved how well maintained the property was. Definitely going back!

Amazing staff. Everyone was genuine, smiling, helpful and kind. Property is well thought out. You really don’t need to go on any tours. The wildlife is amazing right outside your front door or cute back veranda. We saw everything the tour guides were trying to find for you right on property. If you go, try their private hiking path and you will see more wildlife. Food choices were top notch. Water was safe to drink right from the tap. Morning breakfast was always a treat and started the day off right. First time to Costa Rica for us and if you are a nature lover and not looking for a fast paced Pacific coast vacation. The La Fortuna area can’t be beat. We will be back and looking forward to seeing our new Las Lomas del Volcán friends.
