"Everything was fabulous. Only issue was the directions for getting to the hotel shuttle. We were sent something saying look for P2, but you really just need to exit the airport and go right until you see the tour busses. The Hotel Avra bus parked at the end. We saw no other hotel busses when we were there - only tours and rental car companies. So be on the look out!"

"We rented two days but could only stay one night. The room stunk like POOP, Bathroom door wouldn’t close, shower head wouldn’t stay secured, window curtain wasn’t wide enough for window, reserved room with two doubles - was given a room with three full sized beds, old mattresses that if you sat/rolled to close to side it would give, dirty glass in restroom for toothbrushes, shower stall very tiny- can’t bend to wash feet, A/C unit light stayed on all night-too bright. Again, we rented two nights but only stayed one night! I am surprised Expedia lists them as all the pictures are very misleading! Don’t stay there!"

"The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The food was good. The shower in the room was disappointing though. Every time we had a shower it sprayed the floor and made it very slippery. Also because of this there was a slight smell of mold. The best part of the stay was Maria! She went above and beyond for our group of 8. Anything we asked of her she obliged. She definitely deserves a big raise! She is such a gem!"

"- Food is good - Reception is friendly enough and main building is fairly nice - The state of the rooms is not great - our mini fridge was full of water and comes completely empty, the bathroom in the family quad room was totally crazy - shower head holder can only point the shower away from you, the shower cabin has no door so the water leaks all over... - Animation team is all french speaking and totally ignores other nationalities. No attempts whatsoever. No English, not even Greek. - resort is in the middle of nowhere"

"This is a really lovely property. The reviews are amazing, by far the loveliest property on the beach. The pool is perfection. I also can not say enough nice things about the front desk stay. We liked it so much we booked for our last night in Athens area."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Marathon Beach Resort! What truly set this experience apart was the incredible level of personal attention we received from the team. Highlights of our stay: • Going the Extra Mile: Even though the hotel wasn't officially serving dinner to other guests at the time, the owner went out of his way to ensure we felt valued by organizing a special meal just for us. • Delicious Vegetarian Options: As vegetarians, we were thrilled when Fatos at the restaurant welcomed us so warmly and prepared a beautiful, authentic Greek vegetarian feast for our whole family. • Family-Friendly Touch: They were so kind to our little one; Fatos even treated them to some jelly, which made our child's evening!"
