The lake and the hills are fantastic. But don't go if you don't like being the ONLY tourist at the lake. We were told business was going only at Christmas and Easter. We stayed for 2 nights and met no one. Apart from being deserted, the resort suffered from power cuts. One was several hours long. The staff tried to make up for it by bringing fresh coconuts to our bungalow ... :=)

I would never come back to this place. The young man who checks you in and seems to do most of the work at the place is really nice, and dinner was decent, but everything else is lacking and the experience was generally uncomfortable. The actual space for relaxing is not nice (the covered lounge area by the kitchen was filled with smoke while the areas by the lake were blocked by tents/camping vehicles so it felt intrusive to hang out there), the rooms are sparse and you can hear all the noise outside the rooms from other guests; the bed is OK but the pillow was terribly uncomfortable, there was no handle on the bathroom door and there was no hot water. There is nothing to do; the only drinks on offer are warm; and walking to the next village is unadvisable as there is nothing available and you will just be harassed. There are much better options in the area for a better or similar price. We couldn't wait for the night to end so that we could leave.

Am really sorry that you had a terrible experience here. I appologise for the neighboring fire that caused a very inconvinient smoke for all of us. I must correct you on the intrusive vehicles on the water front. There was only 1. Normally vehicles are not allowed on the water front, but for handicapped man who needed his support car on our water front, i think, the pleasure was ours to be able to give him his wish. If a one time smoke and a handicapped man's wishes were the only reasons why you will never return, i hope you have a change of heart. Wildwin is normally very serence and pleasant. It was very nice having you here. The smoke was very very unpleasant, i appologise again. Please do come back some day under regular circumstance.

The property is in need of upkeep. Concrete lounge chairs, grass overgrown, and no activities. Had to pay to access the road, to the resort…it’s not a resort! Food prices are ridiculous. There was a mouse in our room. They moved us to another room and there was a mouse in there, too!!! Prepaid for 2 days and only stayed one day. It’s expensive to get a car/taxi to take you there. Breakfast was free, but there were ants in the syrup!!! I would like a refund for my horrible experience. No WIFI!!! Just an awful trip.

We are so sorry you had a terrible experience at Wildwin Resort. We are surrounded by all kinds of animals, while we can't kill each and everyone of them, they should not be in your food either. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this brought you. We have since sprayed and disinfected every corner of this place. Regarding Ghanaian roads or Taxi's am sure you can agree that Wildwin do not control Ghana roads nor do we control how much Taxis charge in Ghana. We cut our grass on Thursdays, if we are not able to finish it, we continue on Fridays. We've had quite a lot of rain this year, so if its raining or the ground is too soft for mowers to move, obviously we have to wait to cut . Wildwin is normally very quiet, Covid-19 also halted most of the activities we used to have, not to mention empty hotels around the world. These are difficult times. Some of the words most people use to describe Wildwin are serene, quiet, tranquil... In the future, please do your research on where you are going and what to expect before you get there. Our food range between $4 and $9. Any cheaper and we will not be able to stay in business. You were in a Kingsize air condition room that came with free breakfast and you paid under $30, are you serious with the ridiculous prices statement? Only miracles are keeping us in business.

Wildwin Resort has a great landscape on the waterfront on Lake Bosomtwi. The staff of this resort is friendly in all ways possible. A genuine place to get off the grid if you need that sort of relaxing experience.
