Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden

This hotel is amazing. It’s the best 5 star we have stayed at. The hotel staff are so welcoming and always there to help you. The views are just incredible, we booked a panoramic room and it was definitely worth it. The pools are lovely and the restaurants excellent. The breakfast has everything you could possibly want! Everything is excellent quality and is a lot more reasonably priced than a five star in the UK.

First stop in a weeklong mountain drive through Bavaria and it couldn't have started any better. Easy check-in upon arrival and was told our room would have a balcony with a mountain view. That was an understatement. Balcony was large providing a great place to sit and view the sites in the evening. You then woke up to look straight outside the balcony door to a breath-taking view of the mountains. The daily breakfast was quality and afforded you plenty of whatever you fancied eating. Room and...

Our room was very clean no comfortable with many unexpected little extras. Tee and coffee supplied daily, CD and radio provided, bath robes and slippers, everything to make our stay enjoyable. We had a big balcony with the most wonderful view of the mountains, it was delightful to sit out in the evening watching the sun go down behind the mountains. The food was good and plentiful, and drinks were reasonably priced. We hope to return sometime in the future.

Hotel Königsseer Hof

Schoenau am Koenigssee

8/10 Good

We were worried about staying after reading other reviews but we couldn’t really fault it! We arrived late in the evening (9pm) and had to call the receptionist to check in (this is the only negative point we have, it would’ve been nice to check in straight away and quickly given we’d just done a 10 hour drive however once we’d called them they came quickly and we checked in with no problems) room was clean, comfy and well equipped. We had a really quiet and comfortable nights sleep and checked...

The hotel is family run and everyone could not do enough for you. We had a truly lovely stay and cant wait to go again, the hotel is easily accessible from Salzburg and the autobahn and also has a frequent bus service, again wheelchair friendly. We arrived at Hotel Sallerhof to snow, quite magical ! The hotel is located in Grodig which is about a 20 minute bus journey into Salzburg an ideal location if you want somewhere quiet and away from the busy city in a beautiful area. The accommodation was excellent and very clean, the hotel staff who speak English are very helpful and provided leaflets informing us of various tours in the area, bus service etc. We could not fault the breakfast which was very varied, usually cereals, cold meats...

The room was clean and well presented, lots of space, I stayed in the double classic and the beds were very comfy. The staff were always happy to help with questions and worked with a smile and nothing was too much. We arrived back late hungry after an event and they even cooked us a snack. The food was always full of flavour and freshly cooked and would advise eating at the restaurant if you get chance. We booked a massage and the guy was great, the massage too. The views were great but make...
