"Modern hotel that does the basics well. Reasonable selection on the breakfast buffet. Rooms were comfortable and clean and our room was quiet despite the hotel being fairly busy.
The hotel is about 15min walk from the centre of the city."
"I have stayed in this hotel in the past, when they still had reception and breakfast, ant the stay was great. Therefore, I booked it again, and have to say, now the feeling is like living in student dormitory. Rooms require maintenance, shower had mould between the tiles and rusty service box, ceiling was wet, etc. So if you need just a night stay somewhere quick, then it is fine, but I would not book holiday stay in this place. "Biggest complaint is towards Hotels.com way of dealing with reservations - they do not provide direct number to call. It is an old apartment building that remind of communal apartments back in 60ies in Soviet time and there are NO mention of River apartments on outside of building or anywhere inside if you get past door lock with a code. Only way to reach owners and get instruction on how to get into building and get keys is by calling a Hotels.com number - in USA. I after getting really upset...
"We had no information about checking in, had to call, wait behind a door for additional half an hour until got code/keys. Tiny room is in a third floor. Carrying luggage was difficult. There was two door upstairs, one to room was crooked, hard to lock/unlock. Washer in a picture- doesn’t exist in room. But you can rent sauna there. Two ceiling windows are noisy if raining and tiny window to street is terrible noisy to leave open, since it’s directly to multiple bars and restaurants. No other...

"Far superior to our other hotel stays. The hotel was perfectly located for exploring the old town and the Coruna Spit. Our room was an upgrade and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was an excellent spread of choices."

"We had such a wonderful stay at the Michaelson during our trip to
klaipeda. The hotel was beautiful and the location was walking distance to everything. I would have loved to try the spa, but it was a short trip and there just wasn’t enough time, but it looked beautiful. "

"Nice older hotel very convenient to the old town and to the #2 bus line. Good breakfast, large room, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Parking is not always easy but we simply parked the car in the hotel lot and walked everywhere (hard to find parking around Klaipeda anyway!). "
