Best hotel we ever stayed in, in a ski resort. Incredible level of friendliness and customer service and attention to detail from the staff, perfect facilities, food superb. Will definitely be recommending to others and returning again in the future, awesome.

Yes, the receptionist was a bit surprised when I pointed at a photo of the original building and told her that I had stayed at the 'old' Schweizerhof back in 1982. Much has changed since them when it comes to the building but I'm pleased to say that the old fashioned standards of great hospitality and nothing is too much trouble are as good as ever. This time I had a great room with a balcony facing the Kizbuheler Horn, what a sight to wake up to. I have availed myself of the spa treatments, got...

We stayed at Hotel der Bar for 4 nights for a wedding. The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had friends at different hotels in Ellmau but ours was the nicest of the bunch. We would definitely come back and stay here and would recommend it.
We stayed in the junior suite with panoramic views. We would recommend spending a little more for this view....which is spectacular!
