"As always, our stay in Kisumu was excellent and welcoming by the staff. Pricey breakfast but very well done and prepared.(2,500 Kshs each). Lovely pastries at the coffee shop, if you are so tempted. Keep it up!!! Will be back, of course"
"Thw courtyard was lovely and the soft gospel music over breakfast was very pleasant. I would have loved brewed coffee to have been part of the breakfast buffet without having to pay 300 for expresó. But overall a very good experience. "
"The staff were amazing, very helpful and attentive. The only downside was that the pool was being repaired so we couldn’t swim. Will stay there again though. "
"a nice cosy guest house in a nice neighborhood, for a fair price.
room is clean, bed is confortable, bathroom has room for 2 people
walking distance to some quality restaurants, and the wildlife park
safe, clean and green neighborhood
friendly owner and staff.
perfect place to stay one or two nights
some minor flaws which didn't bother us
- no information outdoor to help finding the gate (may be a pic of the gate would help)
- wifi network is strong in the main house butnot in the...
"The room was comfortable and the location was convenient. Although the hotel was not prepared for out booking and the staff seemed like they didn't know what to do. I felt the staff were unwelcoming.

"There are two Metropak Hotels. The images show Breweries one which I presume is modern. I ended up in the other one but was too tired and wary to go to the Breweries hotel "

Acacia Premier Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"What a great stay at Acacia Premier! I had been staying at a competitor’s hotel not too far from here as I had been loyal to them for over 15 years. But, after they went under new ownership in recent years, and failed to deliver any meaningful change, I decided to try Acacia. I’m so sorry that I’ve waited so long! What a breath of fresh air for Kisumu. Thanks especially to Mary, Wycliffe, Otieno (gym), and Victor for their outstanding, impeccable, purely professional performance.
I will absolutely be coming back again and again. "

"Each suite is owned or hosted by a different individual, but all are part of the Ikonia franchise with a manager. The quality of each suite varies significantly and depends on what the host or owner chooses to offer. Some suites have minimal kitchen appliances, while others feature old, torn bed sheets and pillowcases, rock-hard pillows, outdated non-slip-resistant floor mats, and microwaves lacking microwave-safe containers. The food from the restaurant is of poor quality, and even the staff admit that guests typically do not eat there. For properties with more than four floors, there is no elevator; however, safe parking for only four cars total is available. The staff are friendly and say the right words, but lack the resources to offer great service, as they depend on what the host provides. Overall, it is a two-star establishment pretending to be three stars. The location is ideal, just a few minutes' drive from the city center and other attractions. If you are not particular about high quality, it is worth a try."
"Kisumu, Kenya, I enjoyed this place. Great breakfast. Thumbs up.
OK, here is a heads up for an American, here an all-inclusive breakfast does not include coffee. Think British, tea is included, however coffee, no. Again, just a heads up, great place though."
