Very limited options in this city and of the two, this one is equal to the other. The hotel is a converted motel and very dated. It’s a low budget option. Their breakfast was very good with the standard bacon, eggs, yogurt, bagels and fruit. I ended up leaving and going to Kingsville TX where there are more options that are newer and nicer but cost a little more.

Comfortable Stay

Easy check in, very clean, spacious room. Very quiet with comfortable beds. Nice complimentary breakfast. A bit overpriced but definitely the nicest of the few hotel options in Falfurrias. Would definitely recommend.

Gateway Hotel for Rio Grande Valley

The Falfurrias staff were friendly and accommodating; the room was clean, and overall comfortable (below-window style HAVAC unit). The pool is tiny, and the hot tub actually a "cold tub," so wouldn't count on either as "amenities." For a place to stay to/from the Rio Grande Valley, a nice value.

Whole visiting family and friends Im the one not to intrude on others home so I always get a hotel and while the options around the area wasn't a lot this by far is the best choice , great staff that help and check in early is always a plus. I would stay in the future when needed

This is the third time ive stayed at this hotel and its been clean and easy to check in every single time. We got fresh towels daily when housekeeping would come by if we needed them and they came later to clean up the room when we were out. I saw they had breakfast from 6AM-9AM but I would wake up too late to use it, which is on me and not the hotel obviously.
