"It’s a old ryokan passed it prime time. It’s basically not bad, but is old and run down. Maybe the Covid period made it worse as the condition of the ryokan deteriorated further without upgrades. Service is good. Far away from city center but there’s shuttle bus."

Rooms were clean, a/c worked very well, loved the area… felt safe, close to train stations, bus stops, street car stops, shopping mall, convenience stores, restaurants & sightseeing areas were a few minutes away.

"Biggest hotel room I've had in Japan so far, with 20' ceilings. Concrete floor probably didn't help with the sea lion rookery snoring next door to me. Not much the hotel can do about that. The A/C fan is too quiet to help drown out such noise. Bring music in case you run into the same thing."
