"The staff were the best thing about this hotel. I had a horrible night where I barely got sleep due to neighboring guest leaving their child in the room and the door had to be opened by the fire dept at 2:30 AM. Also for breakfast, they ran out of potatoes which I was expecting staying at the embassy. The pool was always so busy with children and you cannot enjoy."

"The room was clean, but does need updating. The staff were friendly, however the hotel is combines with a Home2 Suites and we were confused as to what side we were on. I booked Hilton, but on one side breakfast was free to IHG and not for others. I never really got a good answer."

"I recently stayed at The Redmont Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama, and while I was excited about experiencing a property with such a rich history, my overall experience fell short of expectations. The Redmont is known as one of Birmingham’s historic hotels, and I appreciate the effort to preserve its legacy. However, despite being told the property had been renovated, I struggled to see where many meaningful improvements had been made. There is a difference between historic charm and simply looking old, and unfortunately, much of the hotel felt outdated rather than intentionally vintage or thoughtfully restored. I want to start by acknowledging the staff, who were excellent throughout my stay. Everyone I encountered was courteous, helpful, professional, and genuinely pleasant. Their customer service was easily the highlight of my experience. The condition of my suite, however, was disappointing. There were stains on the carpet, the footboard of the bed had dried, crusted stains on it, and the headboard was noticeably dusty. The mirror in the room appeared to be pulling away from the wall and hung crooked. In the bathroom, there was visible rust in the shower, and some of the light fixtures were not working. Another issue that stood out was the overall cleanliness of the room. Beyond the more obvious concerns, it felt like the room was in need of a thorough deep cleaning. The baseboards were noticeably dirty and covered in dust, and there was a general lack of attention to detail"
