This hotel is right off the main drag when you drive in. Located just 5 mins before the harborfront, it has all the conveniences of town but a little quieter. Love the 5 a.m. breakfast option as well as the hot soups, cookies and 24 hr coffee. Hotel was quiet and clean and the beds made for a great night sleep.

Our stay was enjoyable, this hotel is probably the most recently updated in Kenora as of the time of this review as the interiors of all the rooms including the lobby area were brand new and clean. The exterior appearance is a stark contrast though as I almost drove past thinking it was an older hotel. The breakfast is fine with fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, and some hot options being offered. There is a restaurant right across the parking lot with good food and you could probably walk to downtown Kenora in about 15 minutes, it is also just up the hill from the lake! The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the town. Overall we had a nice stay and this hotel is definitely one of the best options if you are passing through Kenora.

Ants everywhere upon check in. Cobwebs in bathroom corners. Room had the faint oder of alcohol. Also. Did not give us our deposit back. Housekeepers clean. What are you being paid for? Inspecting rooms? nah, you clean. Do your jobs and don’t steal from guests. Will not be staying again. Avoid at all costs!!!

Convenient location for an appointment at the the hospital. Well within walking distance. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The place does not reflect the excessive rate charged for one nights lodging. The bed was a very firm mattress placed on a raised platform made for wood-no boxspring. The fridge never stopped humming all night and the heating system did not automate properly. Set the heater (located under the window) to 66 degrees and it rarely shut off. Finally turned it off completely to cool the room down.

The room looked very clean, but there was a musty smell. After awhile you got used to it, but when we got home I had to wash all our clothes, whether we wore them or not as they smelled musty.

Nothing short of a great stay! The staff are so nice and despite there being a city wide power outage, they made the best of the situation and even made it fun with a candlelight breakfast. Everyone had good humour and the service was still top notch. I'd definitely stay at the Kenora Super 8 again.

Front desk staff was helpful for making change to do laundry. Room needed airing out when I arrived; it smelled a bit stale, but an open window and the judicious use of the bathroom vent fan soon cleared up the problem. The hotel is across the parking lot from Casey's restaurant which made dinner extremely convenient. This is not my first stay here, and I would gladly return.

We loved our welcome! Lemon and Orange infused water waiting for us in the lobby and a bowl of apples. So welcome after a long hot drive. Our room was clean and spacious.
