But if you’re road weary and just want to have a nice day, try somewhere else. Night staff seemed fine BUT the morning staff was a bit emotionally unstable and sent us off in a taxi reeking of weed. At about 7:45 the morning of checkout, I went down to the front desk to confirm if the shuttle bus would be on time at 8am for a flight. Unfortunately the older lady with light colored hair at the desk acted aggressive and very brusque and unwelcoming with furtive mannerisms and terse tone. If you’re not familiar with Homer there are more head shops than grocery stores. Weed psychosis is a thing here and the police let the town run amok with the kind of people that are everywhere: front desk staff included; And DUIs operating taxi services."

"Every stay at the Aspen keeps us coming back. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. This time in order to get my handicapped husband near an outside door, I took a pet room. I was a bit apprehensive about the room. I needn't have been. It was as spotless as any of the rooms we have stayed in there. What iI really like about the rooms is that they never "smell" clean. They are clean and hence have no sent at all. "
