"I recently stayed at Casa Porto Boutique Hotel in Agios Nikolaos, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how immaculately clean everything was, every corner of the hotel sparkled, and it felt so fresh and well maintained. The views were absolutely perfect, waking up every morning to the sea was a dream. The location couldn’t be better either, it’s right in the heart of Agios Nikolaos, within easy walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and beaches, yet it still felt peaceful and relaxing. What really made my stay special, though, was the incredible staff. They were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating, always going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Their kindness and hospitality truly made me feel at home. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines spotless cleanliness, stunning views, a prime location, and exceptional service, Casa Porto is the perfect choice. I can’t wait to return!"

"Stayed as a family of 4 for 9 days in mid August 2025, 2 adults and 2 children. Positives: Remote hill top location in Old Town Malia (10/10). Villas with private 10m to 15m length pools (10/10). Overall the teams were very helpful and did their best to support. Amazing views of Malia from your balcony from the hill top location (10/10). Notable mentions; Alexia at the front desk, New lady in the restaurant from Romania, Male supervisor / manager who helped us after we got locked out of the villa with 2 keys at night. Private pool chemical level being checked. Met the new owner at dinner whilst the teams were stressfully trying to work out our bill for a new menu and he said he his aware of what they need to improve on and service is not were he wants it to be. Negatives: Attention to detail I.e. 1 bed was missing its top cover for the first 3 nights. Very easy to lock yourself out of the villa because of the safety feature on the doors. Service in the restaurant needs to be improved / missed opportunity from the hotel due to isolated location. Catering options are very limited / Menu cards are confusing / Not clear what you have ordered and what you are paying for. Nightly disturbances from staffing quarters into the early morning (stayed in villa 407). No locks on the bathroom or toilet doors. Hot water in the tap & shower is extremely boiling hot. Toilet / Shower room on the lower floor in the 2 bedroom villas should have a solid divider as water gets everywhere."

"Just spent 10 days at Vasia Ormos Hotel and had a wonderful time! We arrived close to midnight on our check in day due to a late transfer and were welcomed by a very friendly member of the reception team who kindly showed us to our room and then informed us that the kitchen staff were kind enough to save dinner for myself and boyfriend which was a lovely touch after a long journey. The food options at dinner and breakfast throughout our stay were plentiful varied each evening meal. The hotel itself is very clean and our room was immaculately cleaned everyday with new sheets and towels daily. The staff were always friendly, welcoming and helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. The hotel is quiet so perfect for a relaxing pool holiday, the beach opposite the hotel is small and quiet but lovely for a change of scenery. If you’re looking for more atmosphere, Amoodi beach is highly recommended and within a 10 minute walk towards Agios Nikolaos - you’ll need to book a sunbed (which comes at a charge for the day) but the atmosphere is great, complimented by welcoming staff and great food! The lake of Agios Nikolaos is around a 20-25min walk from the hotel if you’re looking for an evening out with plenty of restaurants and bars with plenty of options on the way. Depending on how much you’d like to see of the area, I’d recommend to hire a car - we did this via the hotel which was very quick, easy and reasonably priced. "

"we were a family of 4 (2 teens). We had breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel is steps away from the beach. The sea view we had was gorgeous . Lots of stores and shops within walking distance. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. we have stayed here each time we have come to ierapetra and will return"
