We stayed here for the sole purpose of going diving and the shop connected to the hotel was AMAZING! There was a restaurant and nice pool here as well

Arya Amed Beach Resort was great value for money with villa style properties in well maintained gardens that are full of wildlife. The hotel is at the bottom of Mount Saraja which creates a beautiful backdrop and has a gated access to the beach on the other side. The hotel is quiet and has a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff are friendly, helpful, and always happy to have a chat. We would go back and highly recommend it. A minor negative, we needed a rollaway bed for our son, this turned out to be a single mattress on the floor which was okay but a little less than expected.

The property is beautiful on the rocky beaches that are throughout the area. Staff is great. If you need wifi - 3mbs is best you will get and that is if you get it. I used my mobile internet to do work. The pool has so much chlorine (or something) in it that while it is clean, the water stings the eyes. Use goggles. They rent beat up scooters for 60k - which is fine. You will want a scooter - otherwise a 30 minute walk to most eating spots. Potential is amazing - but tourism has to pick up and the hotel has to invest in their infrastructure. At $25 a night, good deal. There are many $25 deals.

Good for a few nights' stay. Close to beach and convenience stores. Room facilities were so so... bathroom was run down, shower head not functioning properly...had to call for service to repair it. Otherwise it was good value for money.

We have bad luck. When we arrive, we just encounter the earthquake from Lombok. The house is cute, the environment is nice, the employees are very kind, but some rooms have some cracks after earthquake. I can't stay there comfortable. I'm not sure if the house is strong enough for standing more than scale 6 earthquake.

Booked cheapest room (condition wasn't that great) especially bathroom) . Hotel facilities were good otherwise. Good location and helpful stuff. Very recommend diving school across the road from the hotel - Amed Budda diving.

Very nice resort. A good place to relax. Beautiful pool and gardens. The only disappointment was that it did not have a nice beach. Amed is a tiny town in a string of tiny towns.

Excellent Resort
Rooms are great, spacious, comfortable and clean. Gardens and ponds are well kept. The pool is magnifectly designed with grown flower trees that fill the water with beautiful flowers. There's access to the beach from the hotel. The hotel staff is helpful and welcoming. The location is very good, personally I loved Amed, it was my favorite town in Bali, so laidback, beautiful and so much stuff to do and this was by far my favorite Hotel in Bali. The hotel offers activities like diving, snorkeling and trips to Gili. The restaurant is very good, I loved everything I tried. There are board games and 8-ball pool table at the bar.

Good hotel, friendly, attentive staff. Good drinks and food options. Lovely pool! Next to the beach. A quiet retreat. Hotel helpful sorting out additional things: snorkelling, diving, transfers, scooter hire. Great couple massage over looking the sea. Minor negative, the room we stayed in was quite small (had a great bathroom) and was below the kitchen prep area so was a little noisy at breakfast time

Beautuful villa style hotel, steps from Ricky beach with a gorgeous pool and scuba instructor on site. Restaurant is on the beach, breakfast included. Food was mediocre. Dive instructor Tristan was more than wonderful and knowledgeable, he made our five experience special. The rooms are very nice but starting to wear a bit. Lovely grounds and super accommodating and welcoming staff. No snorkeling or diving near the hotel, but we enjoyed swimming in the ocean and then rented z motorbike to get to beaches nearby for snorkling. Would stay again.

A great stay for divers .. Those who don't dive u will find it bored .. A very quite place away from Kuta .. U can enjoy the view and the place by renting a bike to move around .. It will very quiet at 7pm onwards

Great Beach Terrace!
The resort was a great place to relax. The pool and pool area is beautiful. The terrace and restaurant overlook the water and the covered bungalow was a great way to spend lazy days relaxing in the shade. As with almost all places in Bali, the staff were exceptional and very accommodating. Rooms were nice, big and clean. Bathrooms, though, were a bit under developed. They had poor lighting and had a bit of a cave feel. Hardly a problem though. You will enjoy your stay here.

Stayed for a night for the snorkeling which was disappointing right outside the hotel, but the water was nice and the pool, patio and resto all overlook the ocean. Good service, nice rooms ( had a suite) not bad value.

exceptional value for money
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in the Amed region. Rooms were quiet. They had both a fan and aircon. Beds also have mosquito nets should you wish yo use them. Room was clean and comfortable. My bathroom was "outside" and by day 2 I really liked it. It is just not what we were used to. Great value for money & loved the remote location. No shops, no bintang t-shirts, no drunken tourists on the streets. Wifi is hit and miss ... mostly miss.

We booked a suite and it is well worth it....This a great hotel....no five stars but a well run and very affordable. The pool area is just great...overlooking the ocean and bar for food and drinks well serviced. What we noticed was the peace and very few children which was good for us. Good eateries close by ..make sure you go to Amed Harmony restaurant 50 meters down the road...very well priced and all home grown food...Amed still has the old Bali feel...will be travelling back to Arya Amed again...

Location on the beach means good views of fishing boats coming in, sunset and sunrise. pool was nicely proportioned, sufficient deck chairs for size of hotel. Room was bit disappointing as its off the main path so rather dark entrance and not nice to sit on the patio. Shower room had good pressure but was just too large to be comfortable, maybe its designed to acommodate scuba diving kits. Restaurant food was just about bearable, staff friendly but only capable of the basics.

Overall our stay was very good. There was a problem with my friends room which I booked with Hotels.com but the hotel staff was very accommodating and they transferred her to another room once they were made aware of the issue. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint there was that the TV is in a weird position and it's tough to watch from bed as the bed post was in the way. The sink in the bathroom was in poor condition but everything worked just fine and it was nice to have a bathtub in addition to a shower. I was disappointed with the quality of soap and shampoo. There was no conditioner and for the price I would expect better product. A huge plus was that the hotel staff made it easy to rent motorbikes from them and they arranged a driver to take us back to Ubud at a very fair rate. There are restaurants within walking distance and a little store across the street in case you forget necessities or want a snack.

Beautifully Hotel and Staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had taken longer. Wayan (head chef) was such a lovely person to meet and being introduced to the owners and being blessed in their private home temple was an honour and priviledge we will never forget. We will be returning to this magical Hotel for sure as was one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The dining was superb and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Thankyou Arya Amed for some wonderful moments and memories.

Beautiful property with an excellent pool.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is VERY nice and they try to accommodate all concerns. We had a lovely bungalow that had, quite frankly, the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a hotel! The hotel was able to arrange for touring by car, motorbike rental, and diving instruction/certification. These services were great. We loved the garden shower. The food was average. Overall, my wife and two-year old had a wonderful time. We were, however, disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, and the AC that leaked on the floor. The space behind the room refrigerator was never cleaned, and the space under the bed was never cleaned. We informed the staff about these issues, and they didn't seem to understand (they asked if we would like another room, but we didn't want that because it would have been a lesser room). If you are present when the cleaning crew is there, be sure to give implicit directions for cleaning and towel replacement. Hey, this is Bali...relax, and make sure the staff understands your needs. I would still recommend this hotel.

Just came back from Amed and had a good time, even though it was a bit of a long day to get there with flight and then travel time from Kuta. Would probably stop a day before going up next time to break it up a bit. Once there though, was surprised how quiet and layed back it was both at Arya and out and about. Certainly I would recommend hiring a scooter to get around which we did the second day.

The perfect getaway
We stayed 11 nights at the Arya Amed Beach Resort in late August, and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to stay. We needed a place where we could have peace and quiet to unwind and escape from western life, and that is exactly what we found at this resort. If you're looking for a piece of paradise that will take you away from it all, this is it.

This was our first stop in Bali, and everything we had been looking for. It takes about 3 hours to get there from the airport in Denpasar, and the drive it quite lovely! We were able to arrange transportation from the airport with the resort directly, for a fee. The resort is more rural, and much more relaxed than what you will find in the southern areas of Bali. A lovely peaceful setting, although everything you need is easily accessible. The photos online don't do the resort justice. It is a great place for couples, but is also very family friendly. Arya Amed is quite a walk (about 30 minutes) from the great snorkelling at Jemeluk Bay. We enjoyed the walk, although be aware that there is quite a hill you will be climbing up and down, so it isn't suitable for those with limited mobility or fitness levels. For those who would rather not walk, it is very easy to arrange transport. The highlight of our stay was absolutely meeting the wonderful Made, one of the restaurant staff. All of the staff in the restaurant are fantastic, but Made was especially sweet to us. We look forward to returning here the first chance we get!

Loved the hotel, only stayed 3 night but wish we had stayed longer as Amed was so nice. The staff were great and so friendly with my 7 year old he wanted to be with them all the time. Loved the restaurant near the beach and pool. Breakfast were good but would have been boring if we had stayed longer, not so much variety. A breakfast buffet would be good :) We were out a lot of the time, used the Dive Center there which was very good and very friendly. Amed was very spaced out so we rented a scooter. My boy loved it there but some kids maybe bored, very quiet place :)

The location was great, on the beach. Hotel was very luxury, rooms were very romantic, pitty I was staying with a friend. The only problem was we found out later after a long night out wanted to have a shower to find the shower was not functional at all. I complained in the morning about the shower, the staff was very helpfull and managed to turn the shower on, but it was too late as we were catching the ferry and had no time left.
