Top Karangarua Hotel Reviews

Punga Grove

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely loved our stay. The room was beautiful and just as advertised. Took a bath in the jet tub, felt so good. Comfy bed and linen. Lovely view of NZ nature. And the staff is THE BEST! Our heli tour was canceled so we were earlier than expected. Room was provided early as a courtesy. Upon leaving, there was heavy rain. Our receptionist came outside to collect the room key so that we didn't get wet."

Aoraki Court Motel

8/10 Good

"2 bedroom cabin was clean and neat. Small bottle of milk on arrival. No English Breakfast Tea Bags on arrival but privided on day 2. On day 2 we asked for another small bottle of milk (4ppl in cabin) but we were told, only milk only on arrival. For the price - this is pretty stingy. We spent some time searching for a place to buy milk in Mt Cook. We eventually found some. Funny how a small thing like an extra small amount of milk can cloud a stay."

Rainforest Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"If you are seeking a great location and experience this has it all. The staff are gracious, friendly and very helpful. The room is well setup with a great sitting area, very comfortable bed and a great washroom that has a heated floor and towel rack. All restaurants are very close. As your in the rainforest they also provide umbrellas for your use, which came in very handy and needed. Highly recommend a stay here."

The Hermitage Hotel Mount Cook

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed only one night at The Hermitage Our room was in the new wing and really lovely- beautiful quality carpet, fixtures and fittings. Bathroom was gorgeous as was the linen. Fabulous view of the mountain and beautiful natural bush landscape. Restaurant and bar also very good. Wish we had time to extend our stay."

Franz Alpine Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"Very beautiful views outside. It was nice to stay in small individual houses and not worry about noise from next door or above. The staff were very kind and helped as needed. We were able to use the kitchen to make multiple meals. Individual car park is right next to the unit which makes unloading and loading very convenient. Offsite parking for additional cars."
