"My family and I stayed in two rooms for 5 nights at the Residence Inn by Marriott Kapolei for our Thanksgiving Family Vacation. The front desk welcomed us but could not accommodate our request for connecting rooms or close to each other. My studio room was on the first floor, and my daughter and her family's one-bedroom suite were on the fourth floor. Both rooms and bathrooms were clean, had a full kitchen, and spacious. BUT my daughter's room had a plate of breakfast food left in the microwave that the Housekeeper did not throw out so the microwave was not cleaned! They did not call the front office but I would have because that did not meet Marriott's stadards! That was gross! My studio room had no issues.
*My studio room Housekeeper, Kiana provided us with great service, and she always went above and beyond my expectations! I asked her about taking the pool towels to the beach. She explained not to take the pool towels because they have trackers on them. Whatever we needed, she delivered to our room immediately. Before our last day, I made sure we saw her before we left for the day and I told her that we didn't need room service because we were checking out in the morning and only needed a couple of bath towels. She delivered them right away. I tipped her and thanked her for her exceptional service. She could not thank me enough! Thank you, Kiana, for taking care of us. Your customer service skills were 110% above my satisfaction! I remain a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member!*"
