Great staff and available free services
Good location close to the Piers and not too far from subway. All the free snacks/drinks was a good surprise. Nice staff.

Nice place to be.
Wonderful staff for a very nice place the room is not huge but pleasant enough. The breakfast buffet is amazing as well as the night snack buffet, a lot of choice, very good food I will recommend this hotel

Aim for sea view
If you are aiming for a gorgeous sea view, dont book the sea view business room with one standard queen bed coz you can only see it from the bathroom.

Great stay!
Great customer service and good location near lrt and bus. Impressed with the meal provided, considering both breakfast and supper are provided. Also with the 24h drink and snack bar available. Overall, really enjoyed the stay there.

Wonderful hotel stay
Fantastic value. Stayed in many Taiwan hotels before but never so value packed! Free breakfast, snacks and supper. Simple fare but quality food. Loved the coffee and ice cream. Room is reasonable, clean m functional. Comes with bath tub too. Will definitely stay here again if going back to Kaohsiung.

Excellent hotel stay with nice service
Fabulous hotel with good service staff. Taiwanese desserts and supper available from 1830-2230hrs. Ample tea and coffee selection to choose from. More than 6 flavours of premium ice cream to select from. What more can one ask for when bringing a big family of different ages.

Wonderful introduction to Taiwan
This trip was my first visit to Taiwan and this hotel was a wonderful introduction to the island's culture. Tucked into a typical street in Kaohsiung, this hotel is a gem. The rooms are very modern, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is an excellent example of a Taiwanese buffet; luckily we were staying three nights so I had several days to try the wonderful variety. The hotel is a training ground a local university; US hotels could learn a lot from them. Also, the price was reasonable.

recommended and will stay here next time.
The service is good and they feed you very well, despite that there are gourmet to eat in Kaohsiung, all the time, including buffet breakfast and unlimited afternoon tea with both savory and sweet desert (the taro ball, sweet tofu pudding, and herbal jelly were sooo good.) The only shortage i'd say is the location; the closet subway station is 1km away. However, there is night market (8 minutes walk) and similar distance to convenient stores. Also, the famous Bottom Up Saloon is literally one block away, so is Han Shen Department Store. The Glory Pier is worthy a walk for sunset.

Our 7 days stay amid 4 tour groups x 200s
First time in Kaohsiung. What a shame here compared to the wonderful week we had at Tainan Kindness Hotel Chihkan Tower in 2015! On 20/10/16 checked in by a perfunctory Ms Hsu? (small girl, long hair with glasses), despite our 9 nights booking (incl. 2 on a return leg after a side trip elsewhere) we got room #1202 which is a small room facing a run down building sarcastically called 'World Trade Center'. It had no room for luggage to spread, a defected wardrobe door, leaking shower cubicle and a shorter than normal bed. Unfortunately, watched by Manager Mr Hsieh we were told that due to a large tour group that night followed by a few more the week after they had no other option for us!! At night when the noisy corridor finally became quiet, I tried to get some sleep only to find that the old a/c was making on and off buzzing noise. My sleep was broken up all night that drove me crazy! After much complain, we got #1201 next door which was bigger with a quiet a/c. Nonetheless, the rest of our stay was less than enjoyable. Misbehaved large groups generated excessive noise, rubbish, long queues at lifts & packed breakfast/ supper rooms. In the evening, uncontrolled groups even ate in the business center/ conference room. Public areas were filthy until the chaos was gone. Poor staff were stressed out and individual guests got put off! This hotel only cares about room occupancy, ignores return patronage and long stay guests. We cancelled the last two nights for the return leg stay.

Free hot local snack & some western cakes were offered from 7pm on the grand floor. Breakfast from 7am was great selections. Wireless Internet connection was not stable & slow and wired connection did not work at all (tried in different rooms & by different devices) so I had to connect Internet via mobile phone in my room or in the business center during my stay... Unfortunately the day I stayed was the most cold day past a decade in Kaohsiung however not only the A/C in the room did not help me at all but also hot water in the bathroom was not so hot at mid night.

worked well for us
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. it is about a 20 min walk from the central park metro station. near river, although the river trail right near this hotel was under construction so we had to walk about 10 min to the riverfront path. free all day ice cream was great and rooms were clean, relatively large and comfy. breakfast was mostly Chinese but they make individual omelettes so we enjoyed it. we borrowed their bikes for the day and rode to pier 2 arts studio tours. We would recommend this hotel.

Good but thin walls.
Although being a Kindness hotel and having the usual free bikes, laundry and icecream, and nice rooms, it is let down by the very thin walls. Could hear very clearly the people in the next room who were up at 6am. If you are lucky enough to have no or quiet neighbours, then this is a good hotel.

Exemplary in every respect
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. All the staff were polite, helpful & efficient. The room was clean, reasonably sized and well equipped. The food (breakfast and free snacks available during the day) was very good - those free snacks were surprisingly generous, I thought, and were able to satisfy us in the evening after we'd had a good lunch in town. Computer facilities (we used a desktop PC, but I think there were notepads and/or tablets around as well; wi-fi; and print facilities) more than adequately met our personal needs; a business guest might want to seek more details about options available. The location of the hotel suited us, but that would have to be a personal judgement for others; it seemed to be in easy reach of parts of Kaohsiung of interest to visitors.

Very pleasant stay
Nice to have all day coffee and dessert bar and free use of bicycle. Room condition very good with all essential facilities like bath tub and shower cubicle. And nice view of the harbour too.

Just like the hotel name says, "Kindness" Hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast had a great variety, and good taste. Free laundry that you can do anytime during the day. Kids loved the free ice cream and desserts down at the lobby cafe. 7mins to night market, and walking distance to the Love River. On the other side of Love River, you can try the famous Beef Noodle House and Bubble Tea drinks. Overall, the hotel stay was great.

Slightly inconvenient, but great service
Staff are very friendly and assisting. Free refreshments (ice creams, cakes, popcorn, coffee.....) were an awesome addition to the hotel. Breakfast comes in quite a variety, which is also great. Wifi coverage was slightly bad, but overall fine. Only turndown is the location because it is quite far from major transportation spots, but we managed to find a nearby shuttle bus from a superstore which was able to transfer us to a nearby MRT station.

Fantastic service and fantastic hotel
Very pleasant. All the staff is so polite. They will stand, bow and greet you when they see you. The hotel provides almost everything for the guests such as self help washing machine and dryer etc. I find it essentially useful for me and my family. Room is clean and comfort. We spent 3 nights there. They may also loan other appliance such as iron, blood pressure test kid etc. The hotel also provides free breakfast for our stay and on top of that all guest can enjoy free cakes, coffee, tea and ice-cream all round the clock. Moreover, they also provide free food in the evening such as meat bun, pastry mushroom soap, tea-egg, bean curd, herb jelly etc. Enough to fill our stomach for the night. The hotel also loans bicycle for us to move around the city and the glory pier. My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Never wrote a review before but this time I really think I ought to do that. it's not about the neighborhood. ..nothing special about it. But the hotel, the breakfast buffet, te cream, cakes and others you can get all day and especially the wonderful staff, all of this will make me look for this hotel chain anywhere i go. Great place to stay.
