"We had a really great stay here, though it’s worth noting that the hotel is visually in rough shape in a few areas. If you are looking for a pristine, luxury resort, this might not be it—we noticed issues like worn/torn carpet, stained, broken or missing ceiling tiles, and the floor in the pool area has seen better days. The pool water itself was also a bit cloudy during our stay.
However, if you don’t mind some imperfections and a bit of construction, this place is wonderful! It is absolutely perfect for families with young kids. The pool has an awesome slide that the kids loved, and the breakfast was truly amazing. Huge shoutout to the cook in the cafeteria—she was absolutely wonderful and made mornings a highlight of our trip.
Overall, it's a great spot to just relax and have fun if you care more about the experience than cosmetic perfection. We’d definitely stay again for the family fun and great food!"
"We had a great stay and were really impressed. Overall, everything was very clean, rooms and hotel were in great shape and spacious. Staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast area was also very well kept. Not alot of options but pretty standard for free breakfasts, no complaints. The coffee machine with multiple espresso and brew options was cool. Rooms kept nice and cool, very comfy."
"Love the fact a restaurant was on site and the food was great. First day for our waiter and bartender and he did a great job! Very attentive. Beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend."
"Im a veteran traveler, but Im retired on a fixed budget. This place looks to be an old red roof inn, that the owner operator is restoring. My room was very well appointed, the furniture a bit dated but sturdy and clean. The showers are just a large step in platform, Perfect for seniors. Everything advertised is here, you will see ongoing improvements. It seems the owner is determined to make it very safe and updated. The bed is as good as any Marriott, the breakfast is waffles, serial and great coffee, with some fruit. There is a Mexican and Russel’s restaurant in walking distance. Also a 24hr Travel Store. So if you bang for your budget dollars, Salina Inn gets my vote."
After visiting Freemount Lutheran Church, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Marquette. Amble around the area's parks or experience its art scene.
