We just stayed 2 nights at this lovely property. The property was clean, the rooftop pool was great to cool down in the heat. The bedrooms are clean and modern, excellent beds and bedding. The only let down was the drainage smell in the bathroom. WiFi was intermittent. We would stay here again. Staff and the owners were all lovely and friendly. In a good location, within 15 minute walk to the tooth relic temple and kandy lake.

I liked this hotel. Staff were kind, the pool was good, spacious room, dinner at the restaurant was yummy. Good location close to the city centre and walking distance to lots of restaurants so good value for price. My only complaint was that there was a temple nearby that played music very loudly - all 3 nights I stayed it woke me up at 5am blaring. I’m not sure if this was a common occurrence or not and it’s not anything to do with the hotel per se but may have impacted my decisions

Truely excellent hotel - it is much better than 3 stars. The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is super clean with really top quality bedding. Food in the restaurant is good and fairly priced and the rooftop pool is fun for a quick dip. The hotel works well towards being environmentally friendly. The loction is just outside of the main city centre - an easy walk to the city or lake, a short tuk tuk to the botanical gardens and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Lovely hotel, would come again
We really enjoyed our stay at Sevana City. All the staff were very friendly and helpful including the restaurant. The food was good and fair prices. The room was clean and bed was comfy. Only comment would be some more space to put toiletries in the bathroom. Free water filter was very helpful. Nice outside area for lounging or dip in pool. Good location for getting to main sights by foot. We ate at ‘mystery meat’ just opposite the hotel which was also good. The hotel kindly organised a guide for a day trip to Sigiriya from why not getaways…Rehan was BRILLIANT and we would recommend him to anyone!!

This is a well located hotel in the centre of town which I found okayish for an overnight stay. I had a deluxe room but it’s a big stretch to call it that. It was more like a backpacker standard place. Shower had poor pressure. But the bed was comfy and clean. I wouldn’t say never again, but I think I’d try somewhere else next time to be honest. If you get it at a cheap price then fair enough id say

Sevana City Hotel Kandy was in a great location and 5 minutes from the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had my bags taken to my room when l arrived and as l went somewhere on a tour for a few days l was able to leave my bag for a few days. Breakfast was great on the rooftop with a staff member who always smiled and brought my tailored breakfast

Great hotel, good city location yet quiet rooms.
Great stay! Rooms were clean, comfortable with great beds and pillows and great air conditioner. Nestled right in the city, but also very quiet in the room. Step out the front door and you are in a bustling area with all the conveniences. Super helpful and friendly staff! Would stay again!

It was an excellent deal for the price. The hotel is almost right in the middle of the city. The room is clean and spacious. View from the room was also nice (I got the city view room with two queen beds.) The staff are very friendly. The TV didn't work (i.e. no channels), but I was also chromecast into it. There was free WiFi, but the speed was not that great. Didn't use the pool or at-facility dinning. If you are driving, you better call the hotel to figure out the parking option. The parking for the hotel is not at the same address as the hotel. We didn't drive.

This place is far too expensive for what it is. It really does not look like the photos especially the pool area which is tired looking and not inviting. The air con remote in the room did not work and neither did the tv. There was no toilet paper. It should be about half the price it is

Solid hotel with decent facilities, great service
The host gave us a free upgrade to a standard above what we ordered. The hotel is located in a busy street, with manageable walking distance to the city centre. The interior is very nice, but one should note that there is no elevator between the ground floor and 1st floor. The rooftop pool was also a bit disappointing, the water being dirty enough that we didn't feel comfortable using it. The service was very good, they let us use their phone to make calls.

Great breakfast, options for Continental or Sri Lankan. Small pool and sun terrace. Comfy beds, good amenities. Supplied a travel hairdryer on request. We found our room noisy, no soundproofing from the stairs and corridor - footsteps, voices, doors banging and water running. We had a ‘courtyard view’ so no window to outside or natural light.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Not the greatest looking street, but location in proximity to activities, quaint interior, clean room, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff.

We only stayed one night but really impressed with quality of room and great location to walk to main sites. We didn’t get chance to use pool or sample food due to lack of time. I would definitely recommend this place and the price is great too, compared to other hotels we stayed at.

Nice hotel. Good facilities. Spacious modern room. Good laundry service. Lovely staff. Hotel allowed us to use shower after checkout but before our long flight. Nice touch. Small but functional roof top pool. Recommended for few days stay in Kandy

We found this a modern, clean and comfortable hotel. The room we had was spacious and light, and the bed particularly comfortable with good quality linen. The breakfast was particularly good, one of the best we had during our trip. The main downsides were that we only had tepid water in our shower, and we had no wifi signal in our room.

OK but far from fabulous
given the ratings of this hotel I definitely had higher expectations. first, the hotel location leaves a lot to be desired - it is on a super busy and not particularly safe to walk around street. although the inside of the hotel is ok and the room was relatively comfortable, the dinner options were extraordinarily limited, no alcohol, and overpriced.
