No room at the inn
We arrived at the hotel after a long bus ride to be told they'd double booked our room and we were out of luck. We were taken to a sister hotel of lesser value & with no view. There, a series of negotiations lasting over an hour took place to convince us to stay. This included a cash rebate of some of our monies on checkout. However, on checkout, no-one knew anything about it. Very disappointed.

But we tried our best to accommodate you in our other hotel. We tried our best to find another good property and also we refund quarter of your payment also. We have done our best for your comfort. We never neglect our customers. Please understand there are some hotels they will just let you leave from hotel by saying that they can’t accommodate. The hotel perfectly suited a one night stay for a family. It seemed a little out of town- on a hill and the festival was on so it was great for that night to be a bit quieter for children. All in all 8-10 mostly due to lack of personality

Disappointing stay
Disappointing stay. Basic things like a guest manual in the room to outline services available and basic info about hotel is not available. There is no restaurant on site and I believe breakfast is served on level one but again no signs or info about times or menue. There is a fridge in the room but empty. No water provided! The lift stops between floors which is strange. Bathroom is big and includes a bath but can not be used as plug is leaking. The shower is in the bath but no screen provided so water is all over the floor. No shampoo or conditioner provided or hair dryer. The bathroom smells as there are no windows, wifi is available but password is only provided on request!! We stayed in Sri Lanka in hotels significant cheaper with much better basic service and guests focus.

We were staying in Kandy as a layover to head north. We felt pressured into using the ‘tours’ provided by the hotel, when we were just looking to get transferred to our next accommodation. We felt misinformed about the public transport by staff at the hotel as they wanted us to use their facilities. Other than this the hotel had a great buffet breakfast!! The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom needed some maintenance, but nothing major.

It is Sri Lanka so don’t expect a 4 star The staff are a 5 star. Very helpful and make a home made breakfast every morning Hotel is located in the middle of the city and still very quiet Easy to get a tuk tuk or taxi Great start point to explore kandy

Like staying in your friends hotel
We felt really well looked after especially after my wife needed to go to a doctor urgently late on our second night - the staff found a lovely doctor, organised a tuk tuk, sent a staff member with us to make sure we got to the doctor ok and the medicine needed. In general, the staff we great, very friendly and helpful. Always asking was everything ok, did we need any help but not pushy. We really liked the breakfasts, which changed a little every day but plenty of fruit and local Sri Lankan food. We organised for the hotel to pick us up from Colombo airport when we arrived. Despite our plane being delayed the driver was waiting for us, and made sure we got some food and water before we departed. Mr Laxman, the hotels resident tour guide, was brilliant. He suggested several things in and around Kandy but we had our own ideas and he was happy to help with whatever we wanted. His English is very good and he knows the entire area very well. He realised we liked to try different food, so would stop randomly and pick up fresh fruit for us as we went around. He organised a wonderful day trip to dambulla and a safari. His team of drivers were very good and happy to stop anywhere along the way. I've grown weary of hotel guides that just push their standard trips on visitors, but Mr Laxman was very helpful in getting our preferences met. He even brought us traditional homemade new year's food on new year's morning when we were leaving.

Hotel was OK, nothing grand for the price.
Hotel was a kilometer away from city center, room was large and comfortable, but a small TV was placed far for viewing. No in house restaurant, food was supplied on request.

Amazing Hotel to stay!
1. This hotel is located in the amazing location of Kandy from where you can have a nice Mountain view. 2. Staff is very polite, down to earth, they welcomed us with fresh fruit juice. 3. Rooms are very clean, spacious, with bathtubs (if you choose to have 1) 4. Hot water, cold water - water supply is continuous. 5. Staff arranges tuk-tuk for you in 10-15 minutes. Just ring them and they will make it at your footstep. 6. Please speak with Zameek (Manager) & Laxman (Tour Manager) of the Hotel. They are awesomessstt people whom you can see in Kandy. 7. Laxman will help you to design your itinerary very well. He will arrange a tuk tuk tour for you guys as well upon request. 8. regular clean ups are performed if you leave the key at the reception. 9. Overall we just loved our experience in this hotel. 10. Beautiful city this is - Kandy that! Please make your stay even more beautiful by living in this Hotel.

Great rooms and friendly staff- Recommended!
Our family arrived to this hotel after travelling up north in Dambullah area. The service was great and the room was clean, modern and conveniently large so, we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was also good. I would definitely chose this hotel again on my next trip to Kandy.

Amazing staff and service
I cannot speak more highly of the staff at Galaxy City hotel and the service they provided. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Kandy.

Excellent hotel/ noisy location!
I can't fault this hotel for service cleanliness and short walk to centre but school next door means loud traffic starts at 5am and no chance if sleeping through.

Standard clean hotel close to Heart of city
Nice and simple hotel with all basic amenities close to city. 10 mins walk to famous tooth relic temple. Breakfast is also pretty decent for the price you pay for.

Good option near to Kandy centre
I booked a deluxe double room here for one night. I should start by explaining that one day is not enough to see what Kandy has to offer and I now wish that I had allocated more of my seven night/eight day stay in Sri Lanka to Kandy. Staff were extremely pleasant and attentive and I found the hotel owner very engaging and pleasant to talk too. I was very satisfied overall with my room, very clean, comfortable and lovely views from the balcony. Wifi worked well but the TV was almost entirely Indian/sub-continent language channels. Had lunch in the hotel on the day I arrived, it was quite appetizing but breakfast was pretty average. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle but you can walk to the cinty centre in about 20 minutes or about 4-5 minutes by tuk-tuk (LKR200-300). Note that apart from breakfast, there is no actual restaurant facility in the hotel itself but food can be ordered from a menu card.

Great hotel!
This hotel was one of the nicest ones we had in Sri Lanka and it was at a good price too! Totally worth the money, clean and modern. Speedy wifi and A/C. Funny, very helpful and polite staff too! It's a bit far off the city center but still walkable (20 mins).

Nice stay in Kandy with great view.
We spent one night here in a nice and spacious room on the fourth floor with great views. The service is nice, the room menu is provided from a nearby restaurant. Breakfast could be more fancy, but if you are into Sri Lankan breakfast you'll enjoy.

何よりスタッフが誠実で感じ良い。
このサイトで予約後間もなくホテル側から直接、挨拶と無料送迎サービスのメールが届いた。キャンディ駅から車で15分位の、静かな場所にある。周辺は住宅地のようだったが、部屋からの景色は良く、朝は鳥のさえずりが聞こえてきて、キャンディはいい所なあ、と思った。 ホテルのディレクターのZameekさんと、ガイド兼ドライバーのLaxmanさんには、本当にお世話になった。母と私の希望を聞いて、オリジナルのツアーを割と手頃な価格でアレンジして貰った。Zameekさんには、翌日宿泊予定のヌワラエリヤのホテルまで、単に効率良く案内するだけでなく、スリランカの事を色々教えてもらって、道中面白かった。ヘアピンカーブがひたすら続く道を、またキャンディまで帰るのは大変だったと思う。運転、お疲れ様でした。ありがとうございました。

中心地よりも坂を登った上の方に位置していました。スタッフが素晴らしかったのと、部屋が清潔で広く、個人的には素晴らしいホテルでした。ドライヤーはフロントで貸してくれます。歯ブラシはありません。次の日の朝食もとても美味しく、また、キャンディからヌワラエリヤまでの移動の車もとても良心的な料金で用意してくれて、素晴らしい滞在となりました。

Mooi hotel,prachtige schone kamers.
Bij aankomst hartelijk welkom geheten. Bijzonder vriendelijke eigenaren. We hadden een hele mooie schone kamer. Heerlijke bedden. 'S Avonds héérlijk vis gegeten. Pracht omgeving. Een echte aanrader!

Hôtel récent, bien situé.
Hôtel bien situé, 5 minutes en tuc-tuc du temple de la dent. Récent, propre, chambre au confort parfait. Wifi fonctionnant parfaitement. Accueil très chaleureux avec un personnel très gentil et aux petits soins.

De har ingen egen restaurang, men de har en meny man kan beställa mat ifrån. De kommer från en restaurang i stan, maten va kall när den kom till hotellet. Rummen var dock fina och väl städade.

Lovely stay in Kandy!
We had a great time at galaxy hotell, the staff was amazing and help us with everything we needed! They have their own guide at the hotel( Laxman) who was really helpfull and had a lot of knowledge. Went on a daytrip to Sigiryia and Dambulla! Highly recommend everything about this hotel :)

God service, nytt hotell
Veldig bra opphold. Litt utenfor bykjernen til kandy, noe som gjorde området mer avslappende og rolig, men fortsatt kun 15 å gå til hovedgaten eller 5 min i tuk tuk. Veldig god service, anbefales.

Really well maintained hotel
This hotel is a real gem! The low price doesn't at all reflect the 5 star service they offer. The juice upon arrival is super tasty, breakfast is amazing!!! and the rooms spacious and clean. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The manager is a star and drove us when our tuktuk didn't show up We would definitely love to come back!

スリランカ滞在中、キャンディでの観光の際に利用しました。 場所はわかりにくいですが、トゥクトゥクのおじさんに言えばだいたい分かって連れて行ってくれます。 スタッフは非常にフレンドリーで親切。私たちが泊まった部屋はとても広く、ベッドがあるだけだったので、逆に広すぎるくらいでした。清掃はきちんとされており清潔でしたが、フェイスタオルが無いのが不便でした。 シャワーも熱く排水も良かったです。

One night in Kandy
The hotel was really nice and the beds were super comfortable. The only downsides were some loose cords hanging from the wall and a poor breakfast. The room was large and overall it was a very good value for money. The personnel were fantastic and really helpful!

Good beautiful hotel of the view in the hill
最近できたばかりのホテルできれい、設備もよく、高台にあって眺望もよいホテル。 室内の清掃も行き届いていてとてもよい。バスタブがあり浴室は広い。ただ、水圧は非常に弱いのが残念だった。 遅くに着いたが、のどが渇いているというとウエルカムドリンクのお代わりもくれて、スタッフはとても親切。 朝食はロビー横で。1日目の朝食はイングリッシュタイプ、2日目はスリランカ風。パン、コーヒー、オムレツと、 シンプルなメニューではあるが、量的には十分だった。 部屋を急遽、眺望のよい部屋にランクアップして用意してくれたり、空き室次第ではあるが、親切なホテル。 日本人旅行者にもおすすめできます。
