I had an lovely time staying here. It was a perfect spot as a solo traveler. The area is beautiful and a short walk to so many great spots in kanazawa. The host was so kind and answered any questions i had. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Very nice guesthouse. We felt very welcome and beds (japanese style) were very confortable!

Booked a double bed, got a single mattress on the floor. I'm not that tall (5'11) and my legs were hanging off the end. The only powerpoint was located on the wall at the end of the mattress so I kept kicking out my phone charger whilst lying down and had to move the mattress in the opposite direction. Not located particularly near anywhere either. Left one night early (had only booked two) and don't regret for a second spending extra money for a new hotel.
It is a traditional Japanese style guest house. You can experience tatami. I slept comfortably. There is a very clean feeling. It is around 15 minutes on foot to Kenrokuen. a 3-minute walk from Higashi Chaya Street. It is a perfect location for sightseeing.
The room was bright and very clean. The bathroom was large and comfortable. A variety of amenities can be used free of charge. You can drink coffee and tea freely. I think that it is very good because there is a shared space where tourists can talk while drinking coffee. It is a 2-minute walk to sightseeing spot of Higashi-chaya Avenue, 12 minutes on foot to Kenrokuen, the best location. I want to stay again if there is opportunity.
This hotel has rooms that are actually part of a couple's house. Most rooms are upstairs, but the larger room (where I stayed) is downstairs right next to the living room. The couple slept in the living room on tatami mats. They were super sweet and nice and helpful and everything was pretty much new and really clean. The beds had great fluffy duvet covers. Great place to stay and a good location within walking distance 10-20 mins of most sites. I recommend it, just be aware that there is some lack of privacy due to sharing their house, but the couple and the other guests were all really quiet so no issues.
