Comfortable hotel in a calming area

We loved our stay at the Anker Hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable offering a great view of the Rhine. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed visiting the Bistrorant just down the road that also belongs to Anker. Very tasty Flammkuchen and Ice Cream whilst sitting on the banks of the Rhine. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Alles war im großen und ganzen ok. Es war sauber und das Personal sehr nett. Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Handtücher. Diese sollten mal ersetzt werden. Mein Mann hatte ordentliche und meine waren ausgefranst. Schade, das sind echt Kleinigkeiten, die nicht sein müssen. Trotzdem, vielen Dank für den netten Aufenthalt bei Ihnen.

Lovely view of the Rhine

Ok hotel..only average...woman who received us quite unfriendly. Not welcoming. Bizarre complaining to me when I turned the table around to accomodate my baby.....also whining about child's handprints on the window My verdict cheap but certainly not cheerful... Ps breakfast staff were okay

Simple, yet Nice!

I was very happy with this hotel. This is a simple place. The attendant was very helpful. He did his best to communicate with us in English despite this not being his first language. We had some questions about a concert venue that we would be attending at Lorelei. This is not a luxury hotel by any means. It was very quaint and simple. The breakfast was also very good. The view of the river was also excellent. For folks who are interested in experiencing a small town hotel without the bells and whistles of something in a larger city will like this spot.

Lovely area , you have to take the ferry to get there if you arrive from the south , but was easy enough. Warm welcome - pillows were not good though rest was very pleasant - thank you

Alletiders lille hyggelig hotel, som ligger ca. 50 meter fra Rhinen. Et altid glad og veloplagt personale, GOD MAD og service. Stor TAK til Torben og Karen for deres dejlige humør og hjælpsomhed. Vi har haft 4 dejlige dage med masse oplevelser. Det er ikke sidste gang vi holder ferie der.

Godt indtil checkout.

Vi havde købt et ophold for 3 personer med morgenmad. Da vi skulle tjekke ud skulle vi betale 10euro for den ene seng. Der var en enkelt seng og en dobbelt seng så vi mente det burde være incl. Da vi ikke ville betale dette opkrævede de 2,5 eu for morgenmad pr. Dag. I stedet. Kan ikke anbefale dette hotel til andre da de enten ikke har styr på deres papirer eller prøver at snyde.

Hotel without wifi for 4 weeks ????

free parking across the street when available. good location. Owner very nice. Food is average at the best. No wifi available in the hotel for four weeks and owner allowed us to use her personal wifi for a half an hour. Not good when your far from home and unable to contact for 48 hr stay. Had a nice large room with no view and nobody told us it had a water bed. Only four rooms have balconies overlooking the Rhine river. The Rhine river cruise was wonderful.

Sauber, aber laut

Insgesamt war das Hotel recht nett. Leider war es recht laut, da das Hotel direkt an der Hauptstraße liegt. Dafür hatten wir jedoch einen tollen Blick auf den Rhein. Zu hören waren auch die Züge, die entweder auf der linken oder rechten Rheinseite fuhren. Besonders lieb, bzw. familiär war die freundliche Dame morgens beim Frühstück. Das wichtigste, die Sauberkeit, konnte das Hotel auf jeden Fall erfüllen. Schulzensur: 3+ Anders als beschrieben, sind die Parkplätze kostenlos.

Et lille stykke Danmark

Dejligt hotel, god parkering (gratis) foran. Vi skulle lige omstille ørene, da værtinden talte dansk til os. Og alle de andre gæster var også danske. Vi fik god mad i restauranten. Vær opmærksom på at hotellet ikke accepterer kreditkort, kun kontanter. I den omliggende by er der ikke meget at foretage sig, bortset fra at se på, eller tage med, en af rihnbådene.

Outstanding Experience

What can you say other than a great location with an unimpeded view of the Rhine River. Beds in room were exceptionally comfortable. Restaurant chef has won awards for his culinary skills. I highly recommend this hotel for those looking to experience ambiance of a small family owned hotel.

Sehr schönes Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub am Rhein

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Zimmer sauber, gemütlich und bequem. Küche ist hervorragend.

In der Hitze der Nacht: Schlaflos in Bornhofen...

Zugegeben, es war das heisseste Wochenende des Jahres... und bei einem Hotel mit dem "Charme der Generationen" kann man wohl keine Klimaanlage erwarten. Wenn man daraufhin aber bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen versucht, ist es gleich ein ganzes Feuerwerk an Lärmquellen, die eine erholsame Nachtruhe verhindern: Güterzüge, Lastkähne und tausende vom Loreley-Konzert heimwärts strebende Autofahrer... Dass dann noch beim Frühstück halbwarme Butter auf dem Tisch steht, rundet das negative Bild ab. Der Übernachtungspreis ist m.M. nach völlig unangemessen.

Cozy hotel - no elevator.

Nice, cozy hotel. Rooms overlook the river. Good size rooms. Squeaky stairs going up and no elevator. The breakfast staff didn't speak any English and didn't seem very happy that we didn't speak German. Good breakfast though.

this is more of a hostel than a hotel. It was a convenient stop on our road trip. The restaurant food is very good and I would eat here again but I would stay somewhere else. Rooms are clean but small, stairs are steep and narrow with large bags making the climb up and down difficult. lights in the stairs are on a timer and turn off before you transit the area. There is no desk or signage to check in, we had to go and look for someone. For the price it was OK, but I would have preferred to have been somewhere else
