Greetings Celia, Our desk is very diligent about communicating this at the time of placing your reservations. Your reservation was booked 3rd party so you were not informed. This is not a charge by the hotel, it is a pending authorization. A credit check per say to make sure the funds are available for the room night as well for any damages that might incur during ones stay. It is immediately released upon departure. If you are traveling and using your debit card your funds will be held by your bank. A credit card is best so your cash is free for you to access. Some incidentals could be 50 per day, others may charge a flat rate upfront. This is pretty standard across all hoteliers. Respectfully, SuZanne

Please note that this guest did not stay at our hotel. Dear Michelle, We are very sorry that you are disappointed that you were not refunded for a pre-paid reservation that you made through Expedia. As a travel partner with a third party booking site we are not allowed to cancel or alter their bookings for any reason when they are pre-paid. We were not contacted by Expedia until Monday being made aware of your request for cancellation or a refund. The reservation was made for Saturday and we held your room as a guarantee. Per our phone conversation on Wednesday you mentioned that you drove to the other BW Plus in our area and decided to just book there as you did not want to drive to our hotel. They are 9.4 miles from us. Expedia has a call log for your booking and the customer service rep noted that no calls for a cancellation request were made on 4/6. To rate your stay with us a 1 out 5 without staying at our hotel is unfair to say the least. We are simply following our booking guidelines. For flexibility with your reservations it is best to pay directly at the hotel. Otherwise, the hotels cannot help you should you need to modify or make a change. All the best to you when you travel.

Dear Michelle Volk,On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. Our front desk agent did go up and knock on the room door above your room and had a discussion with the couple staying. They were older and respectful. There was no alcohol nor was there any inappropriate behavior occurring that she could detect. She said that she could hear them talking outside the room as she listened for a few minutes before knocking. They were taken back when she addressed the noise complaint as they said they were just catching up. We do understand that it can be very inconvenient when others do not turn in at the same time others are trying to rest. But there was most certainly no partying going on.I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience. You might ask for a top floor room when staying at a hotel. We would have also been happy to move you into another room away from the chatter. We are just one minute away for the shores of Flathead Lake and the only full sized hotel near the lake therefore we make sure to market ourselves as so.
