Kanuka Ridge Lodge

Great place away from the hustle and bustle of Kaiteriteri. Had everything we needed and close enough for us to visit all the places we had planned e.g. Abel Tasman walks,kayaking, boating. Accomodation very clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful hosts.

Sehr schöne Lage: Regenwaldfeeling vom Balkon aus, sehr ruhig gelegen, nur Naturlaute; alle Einrichtungen wie unser Zimmer sehr sauber und gepflegt, neuwertige Einrichtung der DZ-Kabinen; sehr günstige Lage zum Besuch des Abel Tasman NP (allerdings Auto empfehlenswert, ca. 7 Fahrminuten bis Marahau mit den Angeboten der Wassertaxis und des Kayaking); ausgesprochen hilfsbereite Vermieter (helfen beim Buchen von Exkursionen); Parken direkt vor dem Zimmer möglich, daher Nutzung des Kofferraums als "Kleiderschrank" möglich (im Zimmer dafür kaum Platz, kein Schrank vorhanden)

My best lodging out of 13 in New Zealand trip

Very nice location for people with a car, closer to Marahau than Kaiteriteri. I loved the set up: Nice and big terrain with lot of trees, small bungalows with 3- 4 rooms each, one bungalow with kitchen and bathrooms , and one with an entertainment room with lot of dvd's . Nice people at reception giving us good advice. Only small negative was that the 2 days we stayed there they had problems with internet

The setting is beautiful if you like being a bit isolated. However, it's only a 5 min. drive into Marahau. The owner,, Stuart is exceptionally helpful when planning your excursions into the park. A sociable place where you can chat with other residents using the communal kitchen and dining room.

really well priced for a beautiful hostel - we stayed in a private triple room and it was nice to have something to ourselves after staying in shared accoms for so long the showers and toilets were clean we didn’t use the kitchen so can’t comment on that but definitely worth staying here
