"Lobby was shabby counters were falling apart. No way would I even think of getting a coffee or anything. The room smells musty and old. Our socks were new out the package on arrival and were so very dirty after walking in the room less than a hour. Outside was a woman on the balcony who was using drugs while her kids of approximately 4-6 years old were playing in the parking lot. Upon returning Saturday evening approximately 9:20 pm there was what appeared to be a prostitute in the back of the parking lot soliciting men. My 15 year old was keenly aware of what was going on. Then when walking up the stairs we passed a man smoking marijuana on the steps. I would have left this terrible establishment if I could have found another hotel close but due to all the activities in the city other hotels were booked for the weekend. I will never stay At or recommend this hotel ever again. You ought to be embarrassed "

"The room was excellent. Everything was excellent. If I could change any thing it would be the guests located one floor above us - very noisy. Dropping things on the floor or stomping or....? But we realize you cannot control that sort of thing so no problem. We will be back."

"We weren't sure of the location of the hotel as it seemed to be placed in a residential area (the appearance) but overall the location was fine for the night we needed to stay for a sports tournament. The check-in was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is not new or freshly remodeled but you can tell the staff have done there best to keep it in the best condition possible. If you are looking for a sparkling fresh feel, this may not be for you. It worked for us. Staff who care is the reason this location is doing well. "

"I thought this was an excellent option for the price - clean rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds and overall a nice stay. The only issue we ran into is that we had booked two queen beds and instead received a room with one king bed and a sleeper sofa. Since it was just myself and my daughter this worked out fine for us though."

"What a gem! We were so impressed with the quality and service at the Distill-Inn, given the affordability and location of the hotel. The room - we reserved a two bedroom suite for a girls bourbon weekend and it was perfect. Nicely appointed, clean, spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was SO GREAT. Who gets smoothies at a budget hotel? We did. Hot and cold options, plentiful, and the addition of fancy coffees were the cherry on top. Staff was friendly and accommodating to really welcome us to KY and to Bardstown. Stay here, you will not regret it. "
