"We were pleasantly surprised with this quaint small Inn. It has two floor level wings and both essentially look out onto a beautiful rock and sandy beach of Lake Huron. The Inn has a restaurant that was unfortunately closed for renovations when we arrived. The manager suggested we just drive into town and try a local restaurant. We did and enjoyed a meal at Kosmo's Pizza, that surprisingly had a menu that was almost identical to what Carolyn Beach Inn had posted. The rooms were all that is needed for a stop and overnight rest spot. The room was clean, TV worked, Microwave worked, full set of towels for two people, soaps and shampoo included. The rooms are dated but have been painted and carpets appeared clean. The AC worked but not adequately...it continued to cycle on and off and only minimally kept the room cool on a hot June night. Obviously non smoking rooms and I did not smell any untoward fumes/smells. I understand the Inn is approximately 60years old. We would stay there again."
