Airport Hotels, Joao Paulo II (PDL)

"Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Hotel seemed to be undergoing some refurbishment whilst we were there but this did not impact our stay in anyway. The room was spacious with a comfortable, clean bed and pretty views over the garden. Shower head was loose and needed to be moved back in position occasionally but otherwise everything was in perfect condition. The breakfast was great, offering a wide selection of both hot and cold options, with enough for us as vegetarians to never go short. Hotel staff were warm and approachable, helping us to arrange taxis and with other queries and really improved the quality of our stay. Hotel amenities were excellent, we greatly enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa facilities. The Turkish bath was not in operation. Hotel is in an excellent location right in the centre of town. It is a pick up point for most visits and trips you can book and is a 5 minute walk from Excellent food options as well as local attractions such as the botanical gardens and the sea front."

"Excellent location. Beautful views. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff, very helpful and accomodating. Wonderful spa. You have to book in advance. I would suggest that they open more hours to accomodate everyone. Highly recommend. Compared to other hotels we stayed in while travelling in Portugal, it was a little higher. I would still stay there again."

"The breakfast was a perfect amount of choices to start the day. All of the staff at the front desk were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was good. I enjoyed the location, as it was easily accessible to the tours that I had booked. (I didn’t know, but the front desk can book tours for you.) Would definitely stay again on my next visit to Ponta Delgada"
