"Over the last 40 years we have stayed at various hotels within Lido Di Jesolo but none of them come close to the luxury holiday experience that the Almar delivers! Situated on the quieter side of the resort, it oozes a calm and relaxing vibe but there are plenty of restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the pool was huge (and heated), some of the sun bed areas were an oasis; surrounded by a rose garden and grassed area - which was perfect for our family of 6 with an infant. The beautiful beach was a two minute walk away. Spacious rooms boasted large bathrooms and balconies. The spa facilities, the gym and the exercise classes all added to the luxury experience. We had a wonderful family holiday at the Almar and we are already planning our return visit! The only criticism we had was that the hotel charged an exorbitant amount to hire a cot!"
"I am sorry you had such an awful experience. Here is a scathing review based on your details:
I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. Our stay was an absolute nightmare from the very first hour when we discovered blood on our bedsheets. We took a photo and showed it to the receptionist, Louisa, but the horror didn't stop there.
The "double bed" we booked was actually just two uncomfortable single beds pushed together. To make matters worse, the bathroom sink was completely blocked and unusable. When we asked for a room change, we were told the hotel was fully booked. This was a blatant lie, as the place felt like a ghost hotel and we saw plenty of empty rooms after the first night.
Even when they changed the sheets the next day, the "fresh" linens were covered in visible dust right out of the folds. The management is abysmal—Maximo was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. The only saving grace was Louisa the receptionist, who clearly tried to help but was constantly undermined by Maximo’s poor leadership.
We spent as much time as possible outside the building just to avoid being there. On our final day, we fled at 8:00 am to find breakfast elsewhere just to end the stay sooner. This was a day of relief, not a holiday. Avoid this place at all costs."
"Pre arrival communication was excellent and they arranged a taxi transfer for me that was smooth and efficient (and cheaper than I could have arranged myself!) The hotel was very central, reception staff were helpful in recommending local restaurants, despite the late hour. Breakfast was everything you could hope for in a bright and modern breakfast room."
"What an amazing family run hotel. Exceptional, cannot say enough good things. The attention to detail, the care, the genuine friendliness - you do not find this at most hotels. "
"Hi, everything was great. We realised that after checking in that the kids pool was closed. That said there were other pools that my daughter enjoyed instead. Pool temp could also been a bit warmer.
We were able to take out the free bikes to explore jesolo which was great!
Room size was a bit small for the price. Otherwise the service, breakfast, drinks were all top notch.
"
"If you are looking for a great breakfast, this is definitely the place. So many food and pastry options. Hands down one of the best breakfast options i've seen. "
