When we arrived at the property, the smell of cleaning products (or air freshener) was so strong it made my throat start to swell. The pictures looked NOTHING like the apartment. There was minimal lighting basement apt, so very dark) in each room, the AC wasn't put in yet, and they were about to install a new lock. We were told that a "white gypsy bus" could take us to the bus station which would then take us to the train station. According to the website, a $100 deposit was to have been processed before the stay. Once we checked our acct., we realized that the total amount had been charged to our acct 2 weeks before our arrival-$457.00. When we called the owner, he said he wasn't giving us any money back at all. Expedia couldn't help us either. We had to find a new hotel which ending up costing a lot more. Don't stay here!!

Scam alert. We had mice everywhere. Roaches and saw 1 dead flea. In the morning we contacted the host who refused to give us a refund. We booked for 6 days. I contacted the jersey city doh and dept of buildings. They were very helpful and met me at the hotel for an inspection. No batteries for the smoke alarm, missing or broken outlets covers, filthy area rugs. Travelocity said they cant help with the refund and still haven't removed the listing from their site. I provided them with pictures of the droppings and filth. The host responded quickly to my complaints with pictures from the cleaning person Lyn. He said this room was clean before i arrived.

The property advertisement is misleading, it said private bathroom and that was a lie, when Chris (property manager) was questioned about it he didnt even answer. Also we booked a room with 2 beds and he put us in a different room with only 1 bed. It is not a good business

Vertrag ist nicht zustande gekommen, Wir mussten nachts in der Kälte stundenlang vor dem Apartment warten. Die angegebene Tel-Nr. konnte wochenlang nicht erreicht werden. Eine Ersatzadresse war menschenunwürdig!!!!

It’s terrible, nobody has right to treat even animal that way I didn’t even had chance to get in, and thanks GOD I didnt That was horrible place from outside I was shivering all night outside, but now I realize that going into that place was not better than stay outside That’s a shame for the company, to treat a customer this way, the most teribleb part, that I was trying to call the owner for that place, he was unavalable, and his mail box was FUUL That is ridiculous !!!!!!!!

smelly & Jittery! Never again!

Disappointing to say the least, had to share our unit with strangers and the owner never answer his phone or the hotel phone! It felt unsafe and sharing the bathroom with strange men, not so clean too was to say the least, unacceptable. Will not ever book here again, complained with Hotels.com but to no avail! Very bad experience in total

My wallet was stolen inside our room. There was access code in every room but there still opportunity to stole your things. I informed the care taker of the property but did not responded. No extra mile assistance in case of emergency. Do not go and stay to this place.

I received a reservation email, next thing you know I arrive to the hotel and I never made a reservation because they couldn’t charge my card. Not once did they reach out to let us know. They left us stranded with no where to sleep as we could not find something within our price range on Labor Day weekend where we needed to be.

A good enough place but not great.

It was a rough check in. The apartment wasn't clean when we got there. It took a while to get a hold of the apartment manager but he did send the cleaning crew that evening; however, after a long day we had to leave the apartment so it could be cleaned. Beware of the bugs. We killed a lot of bugs while staying there.

Notre reservation a ete faite plusieurs semaines avant notre arrivee et on nous a tout de suite pris tout le montant du lors de la confirmation. Pourtant je n'ai pas aime devoir envoyer un texto avec une copie de mon permis de conduire et de ma Visa afin d'avoir le code pour entrer car je n'avais pas de lien dans mon courriel Expedia. Je n'ai pas aime apprendre en route vers NY qu'on m'avait change d'adresse et que le proprio se moque de moi tout d'abord en ne repondant pas a mes messages et ensuite en me disant qu'il m'a up-grader avec un jaccuzi. Son jacuzzi est vieux, desuet et sale ... Les enfants ne voulaient meme pas y mettre un pied pour prendre leur douche. En plus que je me suis retrouvee avec 2 lits queen et canape lit, au lieu de 2 queens, 1 double et 2 jumeaux + le sofa ... Ou est le plus ??? Surtout que nous avons en plus des petits visiteurs qui ont grignote notre pain (j'imagine des souris). Mais apres 7 heures de route et le weekend de Paques ... Que faire ?? La seule chose que j'ai apprecie : la literie etait propre (ouf) et la situation geographique excellente. Je remercie le service a la clientele d' Expedia qui a egalement assure. C'est sur que je n'y retournerai pas, je ne recommanderai pas et j'apprecierai un dedommagement vu que j'ai paye pour quelque chose que je n'ai pas eu.

Everything was excellent except the heat is preset to 66^ the house is large it is very chilly. Bring space heaters in the Winter months. Also HD antennas would be helpful for the television

DON'T DO IT!!!

I booked this property in early June for 5 night stay in early October. The property charged me the 50% deposit in early July. When I called the week of our trip to inquire about check-in procedures, he told me he could not find my reservation and asked me to send him info about my payments. He then contacted Hotels.com and said there was a problem charging the remaining 50% to my credit card, which was untrue. According to my cc company, there was never another charge submitted after the deposit, which went through with no problem. The manager then ceased all communications with me and told Hotels.com that my reservation was cancelled due to non-payment. He put 3 of the 5 nights back on Hotels.com immediately. He obviously had double booked for 2 of the nights and decided to unceremoniously cancel my reservation. Hotels.com tried to help me find other accomodations in the area, but it cost me $750 more for those 5 nights because of the lack of availability at nearby properties. I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK, BUT HE WILL NOT ANSWER ANY OF MY CALLS OR E-MAILS, and according to Hotels.com, they cannot reach him either. Something fishy with this property management (Lanuto Properties)...DON'T DO IT!!!

Super comfy apartment in Union City, New Jersey. Great location of lockbox for keys, super communication with property owner. Chris is doing a great job providing these properties on Hotels.com. Great service, highly recommend

Home style hotel

The place was really nice and convenient; the supermarkets were in walking distance. Just a slight remark on the coin dryer downstairs, it did not fully dry less than half load of clothes after putting in 3 times worth of money and on permanent press mode. So, instead, we decided to dry the clothes manually by hanging and ironing throughout the whole night. But in general, our stay was quite pleasant.

A Great Place to stay!

My daughter planned this trip for her friend's daughter who just graduated from high school. They were definitely on a budget and the hotel prices in Manhattan were way out of reach. I had stayed in New Jersey before and suggested that might be a good option as it's easy to go back and forth into "the city". Found this place on Hotels.com and it sounded perfect. Turns out it was even better than we expected! Located in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood, our condo featured a large bedroom with a living room and kitchen. There was a small market just down the street for drinks, snacks and basic breakfast items so we didn't have to spend a lot of $$$ on that. A short UBER ride to the PATH station took us right in to the heart of Manhattan. Our condo was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! We will definitely be back!!!
