The back deck area on the river was a bonus, even if we didn't get to use it as we were away hiking most of our stay. It is a little far from town (you have to take a taxi or bus which are difficult to determine schedules for), but it is very near the Haweomsa Temple, the start of our hike. She was friendly, and allowed me to keep my suitcase on a different floor even after checkout. I don't recommend staying for more than one or two nights, though.
