It is a beautifully situated hotel with amazing views, but the rooms could be updated. We reported wall sockets hanging dangerously off the wall on the second day and nothing was done.

Disappointing hotel saved by views and location!
Overall this place was a bit of a disappointment. The whole resort is a bit sad and outdated. However the location is great and the views are stunning! I think the place relies on that to keep people coming back. The food was distinctly below average. The service is overall quite poor apart from one member of staff who checked us in at reception. (Really helpful guy with a shaved head). Didn’t get his name unfortunately but he is carrying his colleagues in terms of customer service. Went above and beyond to help us to our room and to give recommendations of where to go on the island. Aside from him, service is very poor! The rooms are clean, in fairness, so if you can cope with bad food and very, very outdated rooms then this is a decent base for a trip to Hvar. It’s a clean place to sleep in a brilliant location with exceptional views from the balcony. But nothing more than that.

It was terrible... I don't know why They call it as resort. It's looks like an abandoned building... So dirty and old estructure. The fun was so dirty and they didn't have an extra one to replace. Terrible accomodations and service. I will never recomend it.

It looks like a hotel in ruins....people in the reception was not friendly. The location is amazing. But the hotel needs a lot of work. Rooms are big but not AC . Some units have it & will charge you 5 euros per day if you want to use it. The Island is amazing.

Thank you for your review. In our hotel description it is written we do not have AC in the rooms, only fans. We do not charge 5,00 Euro extra for the AC when we do not have them. It is possible to make a reservation in our Deluxe apartments 4**** category which do have AC, but the price is higher than for the units 2** category. Each year we invest in our property and all your reviews are helpfull as a guidlines for improvement.

Self catering apartment.
Please look after the pine trees and replant older ones. They are what make it such a lovely, calming environment. I understand it won a landscape architecture award when it was built. The blocks are well arranged on the hill and in the pine wood so the hotel complex's various apartment blocks cannot be seen from the other side of the bay. Large balcony and spacious apt so very comfortable. We didn't use pool, hotel restaurant or facilities.

I was excited to check out the hotel, seeing it often off Jelsa superbe "lungo mare" promenade. The management is putting an effort into renovating parts of the large complex of bungalows and town houses, but the single rooms building is in a pretty bad shape and is in a dire need of upgrade.

Cozy and Sunny place to be
The hotel building is an old construction, little renovation has been done. It is still a cozy and nice place to spend some summer days in. The breakfast and dinner offered by the hotel are abundant, however dinner quality needs improvement. Overall it was a pleasant stay and the hotel staff was very friendly and prompt to answer to our complaints. Unless they revamp it with modern amenities, I am afraid I wouldn't consider staying there again.

Moved rooms on first day-due to howling dog next door and shower not working and nearly hitting me on the head!Reception staff were not apologetic,customer service was terrible. Wanted to spend as little time at the hotel as possible. Full of kids everywhere. Not a relaxing environment by the pool.Room hygeine was poor- not one fresh towel all holiday. Cleaner just picked up our dirty ones and hung them out to dry. Tried the breakfast on our first morning and vowed never to go back- rather eat sand for the week than eat at that 'buffet'.The only thing that saves this terrible hotel is the beautiful location it sits on. Jelsa is a gorgeous place so was gutted we were so unlucky with the hotel we picked.

Gyönyörű hely, de zajos és kopott szállás.
A teljes komplexumra nagyon ráférne a felújítás. Kidőlt egy korlát a lejárónál, nagyobb baleset is történhetett volna. A helyszín fantasztikus,de sajnos időnként nagyon zajos késő éjjelig, vagy kora reggel is. A dohányzást tiltani kéne az erkélyeken is.

La struttura non può assolutamente essere definita un Resort. È una struttura che sembra abbandonata, fatisciente, suddivisa in tanti palazzoni più o meno degradati, che facevano parte probabilmente di un veccho hotel, con reception unica ed esterna. Dove abbiamo soggiornato noi poteva entrare chiunque senza alcuno controllo all'ingresso. No aria condizionata, solo un ventilatore anch'esso datato. La doccia si otturava. Nella camera che ci era stata assegnata all'inizio la porta della doccia era rotta (ci è caduta addosso senza nemmeno toccarla e il sifone era rotto) e il telefono per chiamare la reception non era funzionante (se non funziona, toglieteli) Comoda la terrazza esterna ma anch'essa tenuta male

Small and hot room without air conditioner.
We did not have a good time at this place. I was with my wife and small kid. The room did not meet my expectations, it was not according to the pictures, the place is very old, there is no air conditioner in the room. The fan from my room was very dirty, impossible to use, I had to request to change for a new one. Even with the fan and the balcony doors opened the room was very hot during the night and we did not have a good sleep. The pool was filled with salt water from the sea. I would not stay at this facility again.

Very dated and not cleaned
Very dated hotel. We slept in the Maestral building which looked like a desterted hospiral. White hall ways with TL lights. The rooms did not had AC and our room was not very well cleaned. The urine of the previous guest was still on the toilet seat. For a low night price you should not expect a lot. But a fresh cleaned room is the least you would offer your guests in any hotel, no matter the price.

Skvele miesto blizko pri mori. Bokom od mensieho mesta, ale iba par minut peso. Izba bola cista, upratovana kazdy den. Obcerstvenie, jedlo aj pitie, bolo v hoteli pri bazene. Aj na plazi bol maly bufet s pitim.

L'hôtel est bien situé à proximité de la ville et d'une belle plage, la piscine est alimentée par la mer 😜 Passez par la côte pour rejoindre l'hôtel car il y a beaucoup moins d'escalier par ce chemin 😉

Vi spenderade en vecka i Jelsa och på Adriatiq. Hotellet har ett fantastiskt läge som väger upp för resten. Det finns massor att klaga på men det är några saker som sticker ut. Hotellet är otroligt slitet och har inte upprustas sedan det byggdes för snart 40 år sedan. Klen frukost och dålig service ( förutom i receptionen ). Gymmet har samma utrustning som när det installerades och de mesta är trasigt eller silvertejpat. Rummen är stora och tilltalande men slitaget är enormt. Trasiga lister, trasiga duschkabiner, trasiga väggar mm. Rummen har ingen AC men en tjocktv från 1991. Trots det, kan vi absolut tänka oss att resa tillbaka men det ska tilläggas att vi har väldigt låga krav på våra boenden. Oavsett hur många stjärnor detta hotell har så når det knappt över 2.

Thank you for your review. All your reviews help us improve our service. I have to point out we invest in our Resort Fontana each year as we can and as it is written everywhere it is a 2 star Resort. We are not selling our accommodation units at higher star category. How the whole resort contains of small pavillions and different type of accommodation (different type of rooms and apartments), most of the units are even better than 2 star accommodation. Depending on price, the accommodation is better. Our Restaurant is also 2 star category but as we have Deluxe apartments which are 4 star category, we really offer better quality and vireaty of food in the restaurant. Everywhere in the world it is not allowed for guest to bring their own drinks in the restaurant. As in any restaurant, drinks you have to pay additional. Hope you will visit us again and see all the improvements we made.

Value for money ressort med super beliggenhed
Super beliggenhed. Ressortet bærer præg af, at det er +20 år gammelt (hvilket også kompenseres for i pris). Vi oplever ikke den samme service, som vi gjorde på de mindre steder vi besøgte (outstanding), hvilket naturligvis hænger sammen med, at pengene på større steder ikke tjenes på service, men på optimering. Fint, value for money hotel... Jelsa er en rigtig hyggelig by og en god base for Hvar.

Skønt sted man ønsker at blive
Vi startede med at opgradere til studio, eftersom comfort var lidt for skrabet. Generelt var stedet lidt slidt. Men da vi lige havde pakket ud viste stedet sig fra sin bedste side. Fantastisk strand, hyggeligt poolområde og bar. Og så var priserne dejlig lave (når man er vant til dk priser). Den inkluderede halvpension var helt fin (hvis man ikke er alt for krævende), og personalet var søde. Vi var der 4 dage, men kunne sagtens være blevet en uge.
