"Angel worked us in on a same-day booking and met with us at 9:00pm for check and was truly a holiday life-saver (thanks to a different VRBO booking never responding on check in). Nice amenities and right next to ocean (more surfing spot rather than swimming, but pool was nice as well). With more times notice and some updates, this place could easily be 5 star. Again, super thanks to Angel for the last-minute accomodations."

"The hotel was well kept but there was NO HOT WATER to shower with. We informed front desk staff and they advised us to let the shower faucet run for 10 min to allow hot water to run. We let it run 45 min and still no hot water. Also the room was freezing because you could not control the AC. There was no microwave or phone in the room to call front desk if needed. I was very disappointed."

"The place/setting is incredible. The hotel is surrounded by mountains. The pictures will never reflect the real beauty of the setting. The hotel itself has a positive ambiance of relaxation and peace. The pool area is also beautiful (I would only recommend adding heating to the water). The staff is very kind and welcoming. If you add breakfast to your reservation, the staff can bring you the breakfast outside you cabin. If you choose to have diner in the evening is also very peaceful and you will be receive good attention. The bathroom needs some updates, but I definitely recommend the place. The hotel includes a Ceiba (tree) trail that reflects the beauty of the mountains and nature. You can visit the river within a walking distance."

"Mont Carpe Diem provided the exact retreat my wife and I were seeking. The property is a true sanctuary, offering breathtaking views, exceptional cuisine, and a serene landscape enriched by peacocks, chickens, and groves of avocado, banana, and papaya. The presence of their three beautiful dogs and the stunning pool further enhance the restorative atmosphere. A particular highlight was the art class, which my wife thoroughly enjoyed; I highly recommend this experience to any guest looking to add an enriching, creative dimension to their stay. the hallmark of this estate is the hospitality. The hosts demonstrate a profound sense of compassion and an intuitive understanding of the 'getaway' experience. Thank you for an unforgettable stay; we look forward to our return!"
