With new rules, restrictions and safety measures in effect, travel looks a lot different at present. Here's what you should know before you get on that plane to Island Pond:

• Empty everything from your pockets, like your phone and wallet, and put them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• If you're planning to take food through security screening, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
