"The hotel is a budget hotel. Given the limited options in Zamboanga, the hotel is good, and the price point is very reasonable as well. Don't expect anything fancy; you're not paying fancy prices! The rooms are old but clean, as is the washroom. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The location is on the border of a commercial area and somewhat residential area - you will hear noises from the street, but not regularly (might be different for very light sleepers). "A disaster from the start. The room smelled horribly musty and the toiet didn't flush. The safe indicated a low-battery which caused me not to use if for two days. The room was in a distant wing where no amenities were located.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was quite good with a nice selection of fruits and local/western options. The pool and central grounds were very nice and it was very, very easy to hail a tricycle to go anywhere in town.
