"Room was clean, great water pressure but the room did need some repairs"

"PROS: Our room was clean, the bed comfortable. The young lady who checked us in was friendly. CONS: The parking spots are drawn really tight, it was crowded, so we had to be careful not to hit other vehicles opening our doors. The TV signal was unsteady. The room/suite was nice but "crammed"... if we had needed to open the sofa, it would have been really difficult to get to the bathroom from the bed. We travel with two medium sized dogs, and if that sofa had been used they would have had no room to lay down but in the bathroom or under the table (on the bed?). And speaking of pets, the hotel charges $35/pet per night, which we thought was excessive. We travel throughout the country with them and many places average $20. In conclusion, if all you need is a clean room and bed, with microwave, fridge and free continental breakfast, it is a great stay."

"The staff were great from the time we arrived until the time we left. We just missed the buffet dinner but the food we ordered was really good and the price was reasonable. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the bath was clean"

"Everything is in working condition (air conditioner, fridge, microwave, etc. Staff is very friendly. Parking is lighted and safe. The only minor inconvenience is the door sometimes took a while to open."

"We travel with our little dog. The Holiday Inn in Salem was very dog friendly helpful. They gave us a room at the end of the hall on the ground floor. So, all we had to do to take our dog out was go out the locked hall door and re-enter using our room card. They also allow a pet to be in the lobby, just not in the eating area. This allowed us to visit with friends in the lobby and have our dog safely with us. The staff at this hotel is very friendly and looks for ways to make your visit easy and relaxing. Whatever your need it is good to ask the staff and they will try to help you. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area."

"cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. Room was in rough shape. It's old and dated. We were only there for about 7 hours but couldn't wait to leave (late arrival and early morning depature). It's a place to lay your head, but wouldn't stay there again."
