Centrally located on a busy commercial street of the town, but still very quiet and private with easy off-street front-of-room parking. Coffee shops / cafes and a bakery next to / opposite the motel entrance, with easy walking to all sorts of shops and the main street. Friendly helpful staff (I had a late check-in). Spacious, clean, comfortable room - older style bathroom but everything was well maintained, clean and fresh.

Didn’t like that there were small bugs in the unit, but apart from that the unit was clean Also that the light switch was above the shaving cabinet and so I had to stand on the shower hop to be able to switch it on/ off. Certainly not OHS compliant.

Hi Kathryn, I'm sorry this occurred, if only you had come to reception with your worries, I could have seen to your issues or even when you returned the keys to me yesterday, but nothing was mentioned. We regularly have our rooms sprayed, so once again sorry this occurred, in the future it might help to speak to the staff instead of after the fact posting a review without giving the property a chance to correct this for you. Bathroom could do with an up date light switches were out of reach in the bathroom and lights on the back of main bed were not working .Beds were clean and fresh and all condiments were refreshed every day.

I have stayed here for a little over a week and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff are all great and lovely, the housekeeping staff are really helpful. I felt very welcome and comfortable staying there alone. The price of the motel is pretty cheap and would recommend to anyone. The only thing is that the place could use a bit of an update as it’s very old and some things are outdated. Other than that very pleased with my stay and thank you to all the wonderful staff!

Not Staying There Again
Firstly, we were put into a room with a single bed, a queen bed and no ‘kitchenette’, when I had booked a room with two single beds, a queen bed and a ‘kitchenette’. I complained as the room was not what I booked, thankfully there was a room available. The room was bigger but very tired, there was electric blankets on the bed which was good because the room’s heater was ancient and didn’t work. The final straw was there was no hot water in the morning for showers.

Very disappointed we ended up in a room that was right down the back in amongst the dirty laundrey that was laying everywhere and also had to climb 20 outside steps to get to our room and several of the steps were very loose and rickety. Had to turn aircon off as it was making this awful thumping noise. Seem to me that they might have had lots of “permanent “ people staying there. Very disappointed in the place, especially as they are in a great location right in Inverell’s CBD, also had a “strange smell” in the front office.

Motel is well situated in town centre. Comfortable bed. Lack of separate hanging space. Cleaning dubious. Carpet not swept before or during stay. Lack of crockery. No power points near bed. Receptionist not appropriately dressed for greeting customers.

The reception was smelly and had to wake the man. Cobwebs everywhere, the bed linen stained and the room was very small. the bathroom only had window ventilation and was a bit mouldy. The clothes rack was situated over the Kettle and microwave, it was a very small space, had to rearrange things so it woudn't steam over the hanging clothes. I guess you get what you pay for.

The property was ok for the price but ti is old and needs some money spent on it. You need a map to find the light in the bathroom and there is very littles pace to hand any clothes. I would not stay there again.

Suitable for low expectations
The room was very old and small. All fittings and fixtures were old and adjusted to 'make do'. However on the plus side the room was spotlessly clean and the cleaners were extremely friendly and helpful. For me a big bonus was being able to access a washing machine and clothes line. I could imagine my 'ex' walking out and saying she wouldn't stay there.

Found no information folder/booklet about what is available in area, how to operate air con etc., Also no evacuation plan should it be needed. The room even though clean definitely is in need of some basic repairs.
