Staff was pleasant, the breakfast was nice. There were couple large groups staying at the hotel when we were there and some items ran out but the staff was trying to accommodate everyone. Tea and coffee plus some snacks were available 24/7. My heater was acting up so I got a portable heater from the manager and it worked great.

Exceeded expectations

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The front desk clerk was the definition of "Minnesota Nice", very friendly and offered us cookies and water when we checked in. The room was very clean and looked to have been recently renovated.

Upon arrival after driving 400 miles we arrived 55 minutes before check in and the front desk girl said we have to wait until the check in time for our room saying it wasn't ready. Then 5 minutes later she said ok your room is done. We entered our room and was very dated, smelled of smoke, the toilet was plugged when we got into the room and finally after 3 calls to the front desk they brought us a plunger to do ourselves nothing about moving to another room. There was half drunk bottles of water still in the fridge and 3 very small pillows. Sleep was pretty much non existent with doors slamming, people talking loudly right outside our door. Eventually deciding to get up at 4.30am watching TV on a broken screen went for breakfast to find very limited selection. This place has really gone downhill in the last 3 years. Will not stay here again!!!
