"Took forever to get checked in 3 employees at yhe counter but only 1 guest was being checked in at a time. Then were told the shuttle would take up to the casino and bring us back for free but after waiting 45 min on shuttle that never showed up we just drovw ourself. The ice machine on every flood was broken.We could only get 2 channels on the television the whole time we were there. "

"The property has been updated and the room was spacious and adequate, but the room smells like a little too much air freshener to coverup a smoke odor, and the bathroom smells musty due to poor ventilation. La Quinta has stepped up their game but this one still needs to improve. I smashed a roach in the bathroom, that gave us a bad impression, and the back elevator wouldn’t operate on occasions, door wouldn’t close properly. No fruit for breakfast but still okay breakfast. Shower doors are very dingy from hard water and need a good cleaning, and the exterior windows are all fogged up. It’s still a decent stay but not as good as the last La Quinta stay. "

"⭐️ 1-Star Review: Horseshoe Hotel – Absolutely Unacceptable Experience I booked a non‑smoking room through Expedia for me and my wife. Pretty simple request, right? Apparently not for the Horseshoe. When we arrived, the front desk casually informed us that all they had left were smoking rooms. The entire floor reeked of smoke so badly it hit us the second the elevator opened. When I told them we reserved a non‑smoking room, they basically shrugged and said it didn’t matter. Their exact explanation? If we had “read the fine print,” we would’ve known that if you don’t check in by a certain time, your reservation becomes first come, first served. So what’s the point of making a reservation at all if the hotel refuses to honor it? Instead of fixing the problem, apologizing, or offering any kind of solution, they acted like it was our fault for expecting them to provide the room type we actually booked. The customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and honestly insulting. If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t. There are plenty of hotels that understand what a reservation is and don’t treat guests like an inconvenience. Also we found a black and mild tip on the floor in the room we reserved."
