The staff are polite when you check in, but rude when you are leaving. We were at the front desk at 10:05 (checkout is 10:00) and were berated for being late, and told they would now no longer honer the free transfer to the airport. Also, the breakfast bar is weak. Hotel Arctic is much more affordable, has better views, and a much better breakfast bar. It's a bit farther away, but there are hourly shuttles to/from town.

Hi Ken, i am sorry that you were unsatisfied with your check out and our breakfast buffet. Upon your check-out the transfer was booked for 10.00 am, as you did not show up, the reception went to your room and informed you that the transfer was here, and check out was overdue, for which you informed you wished to leave later in the day. After waiting for 10 min. the transfer had to continue on their route.I am happy that we found a solution and arranged transfer for you when you came back to the hotel later in the day.I hope you enjoyed Ilulissat and Greenland and had safe travels home.Best RegardsHotel Icefiord.

Great location and view, excellent food, and friendly helpful staff that work as a team and want guests to have a positive experience. Also the hotel is allied with a tour company that enables easy access to great outings to see icebergs, whales, glaciers etc. Highly recommend !!

Fantastic hotel in Ilulissat
Beautiful site, great views, and very well-run hotel. The restaurant is excellent as well. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Ilulissat.

Comfortable Hotel with some issues
This hotel was definitely a nice and comfortable one especially compared to some of the other options in town which are mostly youth hostels and/or guest houses. The room are nice and big with a view on the water and they are decorated in a modern style with a touch of Greenland spirit. However please be prepared to eat the same food over and over again as the hotel breakfast never changes and the menu -even a la carte- is quiet limited when one has dietary restrictions. Lastly it is important to note that the room are not as soundproof as one would hope so you keep hearing doors being closed/opened, noise of showers or TVs and loud conversations from the neighbors or from the restaurant Terrace which is near some of the hotel rooms... Personally I thought that the service at the hotel was very minimalist and you often wait for a long time at the reception before someone attends to you as there is usually only one person doing other things too. If I go back, I am not sure I would stay there again as there are other hotels available which may be worth trying too. The biggest advantage this one has is the FREE WIFI which is hard to find in Greenland and the nice view.

Beautiful views over the water from all the rooms. The rooms are a bit simple, but have everything you need and are kept clean. The breakfast is a great Scandinavian spread. Heard good things about the restaurant, but I was too busy out watching the sunset over the icebergs every night to try it myself. The bar is fun with (surprisngly good) local beers on tap from Brewery Immiaq. Its about a 15 minute walk to the very "center" of town, but its actually perfect because you are closer to the start of the hiking trails and right on the water - I'd only be concerned by the location if you have accesibility issues (but then I would think most tour operators are willing to transport to/from the hotel anyway). I'll definitely stay here again if I ever return to Ilulissat.

Good enough
Good restaurant, great view, short hike to the heart-stopping icefjords, but don't expect much from the rooms or amenities beyond basic functional adequacy. The walls need paint, and the soap dispensers in the bathroom are the kind you might find at a gas station, but the icebergs are right in your face and we slept like babies.

Very nice hotel
The staff were lovely and the hotel was very nice my room was clean and spacious with great views of the ocean all in all I would have no doubt in staying here again the breakfast was brilliant as well.

Good Value, Location and Great Service
Superb Front Office Staff! Everyone was very helpful and courteous. The hotel restaraunt serve great and delicious food. Must try! Only caution if you are a light sleeper is that the hotel is located to bars nearby which get noisy on Friday & Sat. Weekday no issue.

部屋の窓から当たり前のように氷山・流氷が見られる
飛行機の便が変更になったためか、「迎え」の時間が遅れた。空港内にホテルの電話番号が記載されていたが公衆電話は見つけられなかった。空港の出入口で待っていたら暫くして迎えが来た。「送り」は当初の時間より早く、対応は非常に丁寧であった。冷蔵庫やセーフティボックスがなかった。室内は暖かかった（9月末利用）。洗濯したものも意外と早く乾いた。朝食の種類は少なかった。特に野菜や果物はなかった。レストランは高級感があった。レストランの一般営業は夕食のみで夜遅くまで営業していなかった。スタッフはフレンドリーであった。（ホテルに限らずグリーンランドの人はフレンドリーの人が多かった。）ホテルで紹介する現地ツアーはWORLD OF GREENLANDのツアーなので、人気ツアーに参加希望の方は、売り切れる前に、独自で事前にWORLD OF GREENLANDのHPから予約したほうが良いと思う。少し歩いたところにスーパーや食料品店あり。ホテルの（街側から見て）裏通りを歩いていたら放し飼いのsledge dogの子犬たちが寄って来て可愛かった。部屋の窓からは流氷や氷山が当たり前のように見えた。オーロラ観測については、ホテル周辺には街灯がともり、住宅もあるため、観測には好条件とはいえないが、条件が普通であればホテルから見ることができた。オーロラベルトが南にあると、オーロラは部屋の窓の反対側に出現する。しかし条件が良いと、オーロラは頭上を超えて、部屋からも見ることができた。

飯店很雅緻 地點在冰峽灣口 可看到無敵冰山 日出日落美景 飯店也很雅緻 服務非常好 是我住過飯店中最好的 我朋友掉了護照局需要打電話到丹麥哥還有Ilulissat Airport 警察局...他們幫忙打電話還不收費 影印彩色護照影本 也不收費 我們請他們幫個忙把行李放到二樓房間 也不收費 原本我還猶豫要住這家飯店 還是Hotel Arctic 入住後 發現自己做了正確的選擇 極力推薦
