The COVID-19 outbreak has affected how the world works in so many ways, including how we're able to travel safely. The following tips will help you navigate these new challenges and get you ready for your holiday in Illin Island:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before booking anything. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
• When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it for ID purposes. Those who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied entry.
• To reduce the possibility of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA agent.
• You can take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. This will need to be removed for X-ray screening.
• Remove items from your pocket, like your phone, keys and wallet, and place them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
