"Lovely place to stay outside of the city but near enough to the airport that you can get there within half an hour. The garden was amazing (although not open at night sadly). We arrived after the restaurant was closed but the kitchen still did some room service for us which was kind. We didn't have any hot water but since travelling around Costa Rica, I think that was user error and its all to do with how much you turn the tap… We would definitely stay again. "

"What a wonderful start to our holiday in Costa Rica! The Cariari is a lovely, comfortable place to stay, and Laurie is the most welcoming host we have ever stayed with. She gave us a glass of wine and snack in the evening, and chatted with us for 20 minutes. She also sat with us and the other guests at breakfast. So helpful to get so much information and recommendations about Costa Rica at the start of our holiday. Miriam was friendly and caring too - and prepared a delicious breakfast for the morning with a lot of choice. We would happily stay again. Thank you Laurie and Miriam."
