With new COVID-19 safety measures in effect, travel looks a bit different in this day and age. These are some handy things to know before you get on that plane to Hundred Islands National Park:

• Understand what, if any, rules or restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you book your flight.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.

• Remove items from your pockets, like your wallet, phone and small change, and place them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
