"The owner is very welcoming and upgraded our room from container house to the real house without price raise. Though it's just a short stop after one day hiking, the facilities in the house are simple but with almost all what you need. Very clean environment. "This was a very nice place to stay for one night while passing through Taichung on my way to Sun Moon Lake. It's an older bullding, but very well renovated. My room was huge by Taiwan standards with a comfortable bed and clean private bathroom. The hotel offers some free snacks with your stay and some discounts for the cocktail making machine in the lobby. It was a nice touch. The area is convenient for the train station, albeit a little seedy - but that is the general vibe in Taichung."
