Jimei was all warm welcoming homestay.
The room was very large, with a balcony and had a pure wooden theme, with a lovely smell of wood throughout.
The balcony over look some farm land and greenery, making it very calm and relaxing.
The breakfast was traditional Taiwanese food, different choices every morning, but due to being a homestay and limited number of rooms/ guest, you can feel the effort they put into the preparations of the breakfast, which was a treat, but not all dishes was piping hot due to this.
It had complimentary bikes to hire and a nice seating area at the front with a swing.
Only problem was it isnt in the heart of the city centre and a taxi ride was required, definitely not walking distance to the centre. Sorry, but i can not remember the price of the taxi ride, as this is the second time i have written a review for this hotel, but the first review has gone missing into the internet cloud. :(
Great homestay hotel, away from the city crowd. Got a super helpful guided tour for a day to Taroko park. The guide was astonishing with great humour, explaining every detail of the place of interest. The Hotel provides FOC bicycle for your cycling pleasure to the town - 30mins journey, great way to explore Hualien.
Hotel breakfast was wonderful with home-cooked style spread & the receptionist was always an arm length away to answer to your needs.
Definitely will be back again next time I come to Hualien.
For those mountain explorers, register online for the extensive climb into Taroko mountains
Gotten this room for my family of 4. Although there is no bath tub, but it's double storey suite had gotten my children excited. Hotel service is good as they would recommend driver for tour and help you make arrangement. Place is walking distance to Tze Qiang night market.
